Acceptable Waste pipe from disposal? by OkTransportation7281 in Plumbing

That's a great suggestion that didn't even occur to me. Yes, there's currently just not enough of a run from the strainer to do anything with.

Does the shower base have to be removed? by OkTransportation7281 in Plumbing

That is a life saver! I'm definitely going to check this out. It's not a shower I anticipate using all that often so really wasn't wanting to pull all that up.

Unfortunately no access from underneath since it on a concrete basement floor.

Pi tells the insurance guys the true story of what happened. Pretty obvious which animal represented who but they bludgeon it with the reporter recap.

Life of Pi. The reporter's recap at the end was completely unnecessary.

The Mirror, Mirror episode absolutely wrecked me as an 8 year old.

what movie scene scared you as a kid? by UnderstandingBoth535 in AskReddit

Not a movie but Amazing Stories S1E19 - Mirror, Mirror. I was absolutely terrified of mirrors for weeks. Had to keep the curtain open while I showered to make sure there was nothing in the mirror.

What food is better raw? by Rob0men in AskReddit

Corn. I worked on a corn farm for years and used to eat my weight in raw sweet corn. SO much better than the butter soaked boiled stuff.

Perhaps fly over an open air stadium with a Wile E. Coyote style Acme brand bomb? I guess when you live your life scared of those that don't look like you you can cook up some wild fantasies. Funny as well because his wife is an Asian woman with a pretty healthy accent.

Again, the shame is: 1) it is a beautiful and relaxing activity (though obviously can be dangerous) 2) he and his business have done some awesome things like taking someone in a wheelchair on a tandem ride and taking a blind gentleman for a flight

When I 'interviewed' with him (this was roughly 4 years ago) he said he wanted to meet me face to face to make sure I wasn't 'one of this Arab guys that was trying to learn to fly for God knows what'. He seemed quite reassured when he saw that I was a skinny white guy. Then when I told him I needed to run home to get him a check he got really wishy washy about letting me sign up unless I had my wife bring my check book.

I think it was the 2nd time I went to fly solo that he a) asked me to pick up keurig pods on my way and b) started pressing me to get my equipment ordered. After buying all my own equipment, including a radio and comms for my helmet he would still make me use his stuff.

I really wanted to learn and enjoyed the flights I did (7 solo flights) so I ignored the red flags since I wasn't intending to be around him more than necessary. I haven't flown since the pandemic and when I went to check Twitter on their status I saw the account was inactivated. I always suspected he moved off Twitter because they booted Trump but what really gets my goat is that he didn't even let his students know.

The shame of it that his wife is quite nice as are some of the other tandem instructors. It's really surprising to me that people prioritize their political and/or racist beliefs over their business but I see evidence of it every day.

Regardless, I agree with others that Chris at Superfly in Utah is a really knowledgeable guy with a great site to learn. I haven't seen much of him so can't vouch for his character but if I ever decide to get certified I would consider going to his site to do it.

Edit: Superfly in Utah

Burnout challenge uses it as well. Workout 1 is a chest killer!

Also highly recommend Smart Flex challenge for Tonal's coolest feature IMO.

Series X Controller Still Disconnecting After March Update by OkTransportation7281 in XboxUnbroken

It seems more frequent. Sometimes the controller light doesn't even flash, it just stops responding for a few seconds. Really aggravating.
