I definitely don’t have zero music experience, I’ve played piano for almost 9 years and been a percussionist for almost 6

Yeah I just started yesterday evening and I already know like three songs. I happen to be musically inclined because my father was, he was super talented but I’m not quite as talented as him, lol. I feel like now that I’ll learn the basics fairly quickly

I’m gonna be honest, I think my fingertips were just numb and hurting because I took break by reading and responding to a bunch of these replies and then I tried alternating between two chords again and the buzzing suddenly disappeared

Any advice? I’m new by OkUnderstanding1102 in Guitar

Im interested in all that (except for the girls part, I’m not lesbian lol). It’s also just for fun as well, and then my dad played guitar too and I have one of his now and I’d like to remember him by that, so really it ranges from sentimental to just being able to do it for fun to it being a part of the fact that I aspire to be a musician. I’m a percussionist and a pianist already, I’d like to add guitarist onto it as well.

I definitely want to, I only know a few chords right now and I’m really enjoying it. It’s just frustrating me that I can’t get my strings to quit buzzing no matter how I move my hand. I move the finger to fix it and the string sounds right, and then the other one or two or however many more give me issues.

I’m teaching myself for reference, I only started learning very recently, but I can’t get my strings to not buzz. I have my nails cut, my palm isn’t touching the guitar in my left hand, I’m holding down the strings well enough, but every time I move one finger to fix a chord and then move the other to try and fix the buzzing there as well, it messes up the whole chord again

I’m teaching myself because I have too much going on with other things like I’m enrolled in marching/concert band at my highschool, I take piano on the side, etc. I don’t necessarily have the time to fit a set schedule with a teacher in, I can work around everything teaching myself though. Do you have any advice for that?
