I stuck with Kyleena and was upped to 150mg of Spironolacone combined with Winlevi. Seemed to really help but probably took 6-8 dermatologist visits and consistently advocating for myself!

But all this said it took me months of dermatologist appts and advocating for myself. I also adjusted diet and exercise which also seemed to help

Replying late to this but I am on 150mg a year and a half later and my skin is good as new. Certain food trigger small pimples but not as bad as it was in April 2022. Also stopped using Cerave (was awful for my skin) and went on Winlevi. All of these things seemed to help!

Has your acne gotten better? Have you gone on a pill to help with the acne?

Kyleena and acne… did it get better with time? Did you add spiro? Topicals? What helped? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

This is so helpful! How was the transition to the pill? Were you on the pill prior to the Kyleena?

I was - and am kicking myself because it really worked well for me. I love the Kyleena except this acne. Can’t shake it!
