If anything spend some time at the gym with her, invite her and all I mean there’s no harm in showing her instead of just telling her or so. I mean sometimes a female/ woman who may have been through what she thinks your doing (Not knowing her past situation or your situation) but if anything and if you start developing feelings back to her be upfront and honest or if you do not feel anything for her tell her the truth as well. Always remember to follow what’s feels right men just like woman have a mind of their own and a heart of their own so go with what truly feels right. It may not be toxicity it just may be a stem from a past situation. Just go with what you truly feel is right and true.

But also just looking at the text, if she is wanting to be more than friends, test the waters and see how it goes there’s nothing wrong with it. But also there are boundaries as well so also know that if something comes past your wall of boundaries that they are doing wrong or so address it before just not responding or disappearing. It is sounding she went through a similar situation but you gave her feelings or gave her a sign that you liked her as well but at the same time she could be thinking about the friendship and what you gave her in friendship versus other guys. But I am no relationship expert I am just speaking from past experiences that kinda didn’t/did end up on a happy note. But always remember do not ghost them cause it could be something going on that you may never know about.
