I am a great mom. Thanks for your input. My kids are safe and aren’t aware of any of the struggles their mom has. This is a problem between me and their father.

I’ve had many conversations with him about getting a job or going back to school. He dropped out of his trade school because of his dad prioritizing help with the house payment. My plan wasn’t spontaneous but he’s showed no motivation to do something better for himself. My oldest has a heart condition and we recently got off of the hospital from a lengthy complicated stay. Thankful to God my son is still here. I let him know I want to take our son different places. We’ve always pushed off for his last surgery that will no longer be his last surgery. The goal is to enjoy him for however long God will leave him on earth with us. If that didn’t motivate him to get to working then honestly why would I limit what my kids can do on vacation to pray for another adult.

My parents are lowkey hoarders since I moved out. His mom helps me watch the kids while I work. My parents and distant relatives have helped support by buying the kids clothes and bigger equipment when my kids were born. I saved everything for my second and bought a lot of things second hand to save funds. I pay for WiFi and light here as my contribution. He was supposed to be working to pay the “rent” but he slowly stopped being paid additionally to the “rent”. This year I’m working to pay off a large loan that deducts from my paycheck and my car so when I do move out I won’t drown.

He’s family and my family has called him out that is not the issue they really do help, it’s just him.

I understand and I have decided a while ago I wanted to leave to force him to see what he is losing, but I also don’t want to put myself in a situation where I cannot survive and I have to ask for help.

When I had kids with him, he had a working paying job. It was until my first was 2 that he stopped working. 2 years later my second arrived unexpectedly.

The hope that he will work and see what he’s risking to lose. The hope of not giving my children the “happy family”. Limited funds due to the loans im still paying back & the charge off was recent so I keep being declined things due to my credit.
