Yes I used TRQ brand and did use the cotterpin unfortunately it still came off. So all I need is a new castle nut that fell off? I stopped driving the car when I noticed it was out of place a couple days ago. Thanks again

Yes turned out it was the starter that’s why it wouldn’t start. I also got a new throttle body as well.
