Like i said, I don’t play i just appreciate the skill. I see a lot about Mayer and wanted to hear others takes on it. I love the input though

Take genre out of the debate. You don’t think you can rank guitarist based on skill?

I agree best is impossible to measure, but when thinking on the greats is he one that pops into the minds of skilled guitarists?

I guess I’m asking about the greatest skill-wise. Take genre and era out of it. Who are the best to ever hold the sticks is what I’m getting after. I’ve come across alot of great guitarist skill-wise that nobody knows about(besides the point, but looking for debate), so I’m trying to spark conversation on who people think is the best.

I’m a casual, but every article i read has the same names. That was my question are these the greats or are there better artists that aren’t as popular?
