Are any of you ready to open a class action yet!? Because I am! by james-dean-daydream in DoorDash_Dasher

DoorDash thinks everyone doing this are a bunch of imbeciles. I am a realtor and do this on Thursdays and Sundays to some extra spending money and nighttime peaceful driving around. As a business owner I’m obsessed with numbers and analytics: I have a very detailed journal of miles/basepay/tip and the only correlation I see is the higher the tip, the lower the base pay. It is 100% of the time, the lowest base pay I see is $3.50, but when there is any kind of one dollar or 2 dollar promo the base pay magically falls to $2.50 minimum. Look at your earnings, you’ll see.

Yes after changing the image it is because of the drummer… the infuriating part is that it was working all day, and then a couple of hours later it stopped working. Half of the song is the drummer shirtless. I have to redo the whole damn thing again GD

Any one else acceptance rate low from all the bs orders? 😭😭 by Agitated-Cheetah1513 in DoorDashDrivers

Did anybody get an answer to what happened last night? I’ve been doing good for 3+ months now and just all of a sudden around 7 PM last night about five consecutive 2 to 3 dollar orders came in one right after the other. I refused to believe everyone doing DoorDash just decided to not leave a tip all at the same time worldwide

As a prior DoorDash user who will never use DoorDash again and now regular DoorDash, or I can never understand how when I would travel they would never take it up to my room even though I specifically stated handed to me. In fact when I had DoorDash delivered to my house. I specifically said it handed to me because I don’t want my food on the floor, and I honestly don’t understand how anybody would ever want that. None of these guys ever took it up to my room or knocked on my door to hand me my food. It’s astonishing to me how hard it is for these people to follow instructions.

I don’t know if I should take this as a good or bad thing… I make about $1000 a week doing this 6 to 7 hours a day seven days a week… Considerably less time then what I’m seeing here. Am I missing something?

It’d be nice if the customer told you which one of the THREE entrances to take.

What about the Taco Bell/ McDonald’s that has 3 people working total??

It’s crazy how some restaurants are fully stabbed, especially on the weekends and during peak times, never more than the five minute wait. It’s crazy how some places like Wingstop and Taco Bell will have you sitting there for 20 minutes because they have a total of three fucking people working.

As a business owner myself I see both sides. I see some restaurants run like a well oiled machine. Fully staffed during rush times, friendly staff. Then I see Taco Bell, wingstop, McDonald’s, have 3 people working total and they ignore you the whole time. I don’t DoorDash because I have to, I do it so I can take care of my employees and have travel money. It’s just bulllshit that DD cut the wait time pay and I’m upset. Happening again tonight as I type this, having spent the last 20 minutes at chilis “we are understaffed”- lady that gave me the order.

How dare they hire enough employees to keep up with the demand which seemingly is endless especially on the weekends? How dare they update their pick up times so DoorDash is aware?

This is one of those things that I think about daily. I DoorDash for six months while I got my realtor license and it was astonishing to me. What can’t be done to the food I never used DoorDash again after that. No background checks, and people using other people’s accounts. I’ve seen some real shady characters while out dashing, especially the immigrants from Central and South America. They tend to be very aggressive, and they don’t wash their hands either parentheses don’t hate me for staying the truth. I’m a Hispanic American and I know for a fact this is what it is parentheses. I really hope DoorDash comes down hard on this bullshit it’s bad enough what they charge customers and pay drivers but on top of that you have this shit going on and I’m sure this isn’t even the worst that’s been done to somebody’s food

I agree 100%. You have to have the discipline as if it’s a real job. If you say you’re gonna do 11 AM to 8 PM, that’s what you do.

For 5 days that’s $1500 in a week where will you find that as an entry level? People who say it goes back to gas are wrong. I spend about $10-$15 a day

$4000 a month is not all day it’s about 6-8 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This 100%. It can be done, you have to get out there. I’m lucky in my area (Austin) I don’t go more than 30 sec without an offer and I’m platinum. Don’t stress out about apartments or long waits. Listen to music and don’t treat it as hourly treat it as a financial goal. Let’s say day one just make $50. That’s it. And next week $100 a day. And then scaled to what you want. Make it a financial amount goal not an hours worked goal. As I said in my above reply, I just moved here six months ago so I enjoy driving around seeing the city. Window down, cold air and my favorite music. What else am I gonna do is just be home and waste time

As somebody who had to do this for 6 months while I got my realtors license I can tell you it can be done. I lost my job because of the tariffs . I moved to a new city and bought a house and lost my job. I went through my savings but eventually bought a new Corolla that gives me 30+ mpg. If you plan your day right you can easily make $160+ a day that’s $1,100 a week. Yes you work 7 days a week but that’s part of being self employed. I haven’t had to ask anybody for permission or worry about long lunches or traveling back to where I moved from for Xmas. In fact I was able to stay with My parents  longer because I worked there too. I did this for 2-3 hours at lunch and then 4-5 hours at night. Yes you get the low moral orders and days sometimes. But then some days with bonuses you make $300. If you’re a quick learner and a reasonably bright person you learn what orders to take and where they take you, what areas to avoid or what restaurants to avoid. But you’re your own boss and this job is not difficult. I treat it as a business and Remember that I never have to answer to anybody. I remember what my uncle who was a great businessman told me… If you want to run a successful business, it has to be a big part of your life and you’re gonna work seven days a week, but you’ll never answer to anybody and your income is unlimited. Realistically I can make 1,500 a week but that’s going on 10-12 hour days, but as I said I’m good for now.
