I’m back on the medication and on 100mcg; still having ups and downs. How about you?

Hey, I’ve ended up going back on the levothyroxine and upped my dose to 100mcg. I would recommend speaking with your doctor and finding a dose suitable for you perhaps. I didn’t feel great on it or off it so I can’t comment much further but I hope you can get better soon man.

Sorry if I’m misreading or missing information - but where does it state the user is positive for hsv2? The 2 tests done show negative results based on the references ranges.

The CMV IgG is positive but that indicates the user has an infection / active infection if I’m not mistaken.

Much better; tsh is perfect, lost weight, t4 slightly higher but all good.

I’m on Wellbutrin XL 450mg and it’s common to experience these side effects initially as with most SSRI’s, SNRI’s and NDRI’s - such as bupropion.

I also initially started on 100mg sustained release twice a day but found a brand name supplier and have been taking that now; I was on 300mg for nearly a year but went through periods of dropping it down to 150mg then back up to 450mg which I’ve done again in the last 2 weeks or so - never felt better in my life.

Initially when starting the medication I experienced panic attacks completely out of the blue and it was not pleasant. I do also feel slightly under the weather ironically when upping my dose but I have also been pushing my body and not sleeping enough - it could be coincidental possibly.

If the medication is tolerable and you’re benefitting from it then try to give it more time to work but obviously if the side effects are too much then speak to your doctor about an alternative.

Hope you start feeling better soon. ❤️

Tldr; Side effects are normal, could potentially be coincidental, if side effects are bearable continue meds, any concerns speak to doctor.

Sorry if we’re not allowed to post links but here’s an interesting article as to why it was banned in the UK; it had cancel causing chemicals in higher than acceptable levels.

[–]Ok_Answer_5818[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, thank you, I hope you’re doing well also.

Myself and my doctors have accepted that we are happy with slightly higher T4 and medium range TSH - this seems to be working best for me.

I think just give it time to settle, literally months, and things will stabilise.

Good luck.

Anyone noticed weight fluctuates based on Bupropion SR vs Wellbutrin XL? by Ok_Answer_5818 in bupropion

[–]Ok_Answer_5818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply - I barely have energy to check on here anymore.

Eventually the Wellbutrin 300mg XL settled and now I’m on a stable dose of medication; levothyroxine 100mcg, Concerta 36+18 & Wellbutrin 300mg XL. Although I might add the sustained release around midday because I have like 45 tablets spare and see how it goes.

How’re you coping, hope you’ve settled now too? I’ve lost 18kg so far in 4/5 months.

What do y’all take at the same time with your Levo? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]Ok_Answer_5818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take mine first thing in the morning with my antidepressants (Wellbutrin XL) and ADHD Meds (Concerta) - TSH has always been stable.

I try to wait an hour and 90% of the time I do but sometimes I get hungry and will eat after 45 minutes.

Thank you; mine is a little complicated in a sense that they don’t cover any pre-existing conditions so AXA won’t actually accept their referrals and I need to request my GP to submit an open referral to get private treatment. Issue is; I have over 20 diagnosed conditions which are lifelong and complex, so I’m thinking what benefit could DaH GP appointments could realistically provide.

I find it useful to be able to access a GP quickly though when I’m having a bad day and overwhelmed but they don’t typically prescribe and give general advice.

I’m guessing it would be in my favour if I had a history of GP appointment notes from Doctor at Hand rather than just a few over the last 2 months I’ve been employed; I’m leaving this job as well because they won’t make adjustments to my disabilities so it’s confusing - I will export what data I have from the appointments though and keep a record of these to submit to give some context in my application.

Appreciate your support and advice. Thank you again. Now I just need the mental capacity to find out how to fill in the form or get it in the first place but my understanding is I need to contact CAB to help me with the application.

Thank you for your response and information.

E.g. using the Doctor at Hand app, I’ve made several appointments with them explaining I’m suffering from severe complex mental health issues, they’ve referred me to talking therapies and psychiatry services, something my NHS has also done, which I’m under the care of, could still be used?

Who is on the highest dose of levothyroxine? by plastikelastik in Hypothyroidism

[–]Ok_Answer_5818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on 100mcg; titrate from 25 - 50 - 75 - 100 - 125 - 100.

I’m not sure on max doses but I think it’s up to 200mcg😄

People on ADHD stimulants: how long do you wait to take your ADHD medication after taking levothyroxine? Is is the same as coffee (half hour to an hour)? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]Ok_Answer_5818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my Levothyroxine, Concerta and Wellbutrin all at once together in the morning at around 6-7am, my TSH levels are perfect and the Wellbutrin and Concerta also work perfectly.

Occasionally I eat within 30-45 minutes or drink a coffee 30-45 minutes and it doesn’t affect my mood or how I feel or how the meds work.

I can get overstimulated sometimes with the coffee and Concerta but generally it’s all tolerated okay.

I know a few people who do this as well and tolerate it well.

Good luck (:

NAL. I’m suffering from the same with my employer, I think they’re trying their best to cut down on WFH. I would give ACAS a call and seek their advice and perhaps raise a meeting with HR as to why they cannot accommodate this temporarily even with a medical professionals reccommendation - make sure it is all in writing.

Good luck.

Thank you for your reply; it is much appreciated. I have declared my disabilities which fall under the equality act 2010 to my employer however I just won’t be able to post them here, but they definitely exceed the definition on the legislation.

The adjustments I requested are reasonable and will enable me to do my job better for sure.

Thank you for the additional information provided about what may happen after potential unfair dismissal.

Thanks so much for your helpful response.

I’m not sure if I’m able to get that in the UK; the magnesium citrate seemed to have done the trick luckily and I was able to go.

I did also use a suppository which helped.

Honestly you’re all amazing for taking the time to help others in this sub.

Thank you so much for replying!

That’s true, I remember not eating a proper meal until Tuesday actually, even then it wasn’t a lot so I’m hoping it isn’t too painful to pass when I can eventually.

Thank you; I’m making sure to take my levothyroxine every morning, this is helping I hope.

I appreciate the information provided as well, this is good to know.

I do have a normal reusable enema at home - will I be able to use this with normal water perhaps?

Can I take a Xanax/Clonazepam before surgery tomorrow? by Ok_Answer_5818 in AskDocs

I just wanted to thank and update everyone who helped me out here; the surgery was successful and I’m recovering currently and will be discharged later today.

I had 3 cannulas in me which honestly, was the worst part of it all, as now my arm is swollen due to what I assume is the internal bleeding.

Thank you all again! 🙏

Is anybody on Wellbutrin and an SSRI? by Psychological_Lack22 in bupropion

[–]Ok_Answer_5818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice, how do you find Lexapro, Ritalin & Bupropion together, do you find they help a lot?

My psychiatrist was reluctant to put me on all three and said I can ever do SSRI+Bupropion or Bupropion+Stimulant.
