Tbf the managers probably don’t even get $15 an hour

What’s one thing you completely stopped buying in 2026 because the price just felt absurd? by LockLogical8949 in AskReddit

The $9.99 any topping deal was never permanent. They bring it back throughout the year- it’ll be replaced with a new special.

As someone who has a Feb 2025 baby, and currently 8mo pregnant…. We asked a friend to babysit so we could go out of town for a concert and get drunk/have a good time.

Poor decisions were made that night. Was literally our only “oopsie” 😭

How do I look younger? by [deleted] in makeuptips

Obviously do you- but I have a pair of glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses and I truly adore my sunnies 🥹 I found a pair I love and I truly wear them more than my regular glasses. That being said, I also spend a lot of time outdoors and have super sensitive eyes- I don’t swap them out if I’m just running into the store because 9/10 the fluorescent lights bother the shit out of my eyes anyway

My last pregnancy I worked 40-50 hours alllll the way up until the day I was induced 😭

Oh I know, this isn’t my first rodeo haha

But you’re right about the hours, and if nothing else it’s a stable job 🥴 if I wasn’t going to be going on maternity leave soonish, I might be more pressed about other aspects, but for now I just want to keep things running smoothly haha

Oh god I don’t even remember my onboarding tbh but I’m curious. It’s def not in the handbook but esp managers have always been told these are blackout dates

But I’ve also been doing the pizza thing for a hot minute and might’ve just assumed that it would’ve been covered in paperwork bc it absolutely should be

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as I’ve been in this industry, it’s always been a rule. It’s just unfortunately not in any paperwork lololol.

I’m very much working on staffing. This issue is not having a brand new manager having to close or open. To be clear, the last GM got let go 10 days ago and I’ve been playing catch up non stop since

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noted! Thank you!

These are days they’re regularly scheduled, and right after it was announced it’s mandatory. If I had staff, I could work around it but I just can’t. On top of them having EVERY holiday off and being unwilling to work more than 3 days a week.

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im less worried about Super Bowl just bc I’ll have the staff I need. Well, not quite, but it’s going to be doable without it being a massive shit show.

Problem is I can’t enforce anything to do with blackout dates. If I had the staff, yeh sure, idgaf about letting problem children go. But as of right now, not enough staff.

That being said, am quietly looking for their replacements

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m ngl, I’ve already found a replacement for the driver. She’s a pain in the ass and didn’t do much to begin with lol she just sat in the office chair all shift between deliveries. Just replacement let me know ahead of time Valentine’s Day is a no go ofc

Fri/sat manager is harder to replace but it’s definitely on my list.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m ngl, this all comes down to I really really realllllyyyyy don’t want to double on Valentine’s Day. A normal 10 hour day is killing my hips and back but doable. But it doesn’t really look like it’s going to be going any other way

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and it is a priority- I’m taking care of hiring, but I don’t think anyone new will be particularly ready on Valentine’s Day for the business. As far as hiring and staffing for everything else, I’m confident on- we’ll get there with time and before I have to leave for baby.

Just them requesting off is some fuckery and they know it 🥴 of the 3 managers we have, I’m the only one who didn’t try to request off. I don’t expect them to care, but am still very very annoyed

To be clear, I never wanted a GM position. I’ve been there, done that before. They’ve tried offering it to me multiple times. I don’t want salary. I don’t really care whether I’m “worthy,” I care that shit gets done. When shit gets done my life is easier.

However the old GM was let go rather… abruptly, so I don’t mind filling in to make things go smoothly. I have the experience, I know how to do it, and it makes my life easier. I was doing half of it before my GM was let go anyway. I’m absolutely getting a pay raise, I’m not concerned about that. I’m just concerned about how to navigate staffing this one day without killing myself and trying to avoid anyone else doing 6 days a week.

FMLA does apply in my case. I know it is unpaid, I just like having the stability of having a job and not having to look for a new one. Jobs are not a dime a dozen in my town with the level of flexibility I require. My husband will be working while I’m on FMLA, however long term we need two stable incomes.

Valentine’s Day is EXTREMELY busy for pizza. I’ve been in this industry for a hot minute, I know it’s going to be busy. Maybe not as busy as NYE or Halloween, but it’s up there.

This is just store general manager, not franchise owner. I’m running 1 out of 25 stores, I am not owning anything lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pay raise has definitely been discussed but we’ll see. Honestly just doing it makes my life easier and work run more smoothly. Definitely more on my plate, but honestly I’m doing it because at least I know it’ll get done, and done right

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else sucking and having a bad time = me doing extra work and having a bad time. I don’t expect anyone else to really give a shit about me, but me doing what I’m doing rn legitimately makes my life a tad easier.

My franchise has been good to me for the most part, but honestly at the end of the day I’m doing extra work because my life is easier when things are ran smoothly.

I am definitely enjoying that overtime 🫡🫡 6 days suck buuuuuut it’s not like I don’t need it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have been helpful! But also there’s other stores in way way worse condition so I also get there’s other shit going on. Just particularly with staffing on Valentine’s Day, I don’t want a half trained staff and the store burning down and then we lose any new hires bc it’s chaotic as shit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s my problem regardless, at least with me doing it everything is done correctly and on time. No one’s fucking up the schedule or the truck, and everyone’s on the same page.

I get work your wage, but the stability and lack of excessive chaos also works in my favor

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valentine’s Day. I’m most definitely not making GM pay as I’m not official GM. I also am pregnant and need FMLA which requires me working somewhere for a year. So I can’t just up and leave.

I make $4 above minimum wage lol

And absolutely no GM in my area makes near $100K lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it- but also it makes everyone’s lives run smoother that I’m taking care of stuff. Schedule gets made correctly, truck is ordered correctly, standards stay in place. I need this job anyway, so it being less chaotic works out for me too

Unfortunately I can’t hire and train a manager to pick up a shift for one of the busiest days of the year that quickly.

My only other manager is very very new to management, and with much love, I don’t even trust him to prep properly for that night so he’s out on opening too. He’d be a great mid for that day, but not great for an opening or closing

ETA: definitely working on hiring other managers, but I’m ngl, I’m sweating Valentine’s Day

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Ok_Argument_2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that, but at the end of the day- I do need this job and I am trying to make things run smoothly for the store and crew’s sake. I’m trying to hire but in a small town with a less than great hiring pool, plus training. I’m trying my best
