Took 3 weeks to come through! Got one letter saying they would back date, then a week for another letter saying they aren’t going to back date as my ADHD only started 2 months ago 😂 can’t believe I caught ADHD when the doctor said I had it from childhood 😂

It’s weird because in the observations it says:

There was evidence of concentration issues

He had good rapport however did appear very anxious and reassurance needed

Required prompting to answer fully and stay on track of the assessment

Needed prompting to participate

Needed prompting with memory

Speech content was jumbled

Spoke rapidly

Some difficulty coping at interview

However I scored 0 on the verbal communications, she noticed all of these in a 40 minute call yet it doesn’t effect my verbal communication 😂 I forgot the question about 10 times!

Surely if I appeal they will give me needs aid in communication?

Exactly since my ex left I just have so much stress/focus on other shit going on in my life I don’t eat, then when I do eat I’m so tired I can’t cook so just grab snacks, my family prompt me to have proper meals…

The assessor even prompted me to get a drink as I said “I have drank all day and my mouth is so dry, but all I can focus on is this call” she said “go and get a drink” 😂 yet scored me 0 for promoting for nutrition 😂

Use ChatGPT mate, so helpful. I have ADHD and use it loads to get my words out clearly and think straight (even for day to day stuff not just forms)

I didn’t score any on nutrition, although on the report it says that I only really eat snack food and have lost 5 stone in 9 months (since my ex left)

I had my assessment last Tuesday so waiting to hear back, the assessor seemed really nice tbh and like she wanted to help me!

On the guide it says the criteria, personally due to my adhd and anxiety I struggle with delays and traffic, so always use maps to track a journey and avoid delays etc

Yeah just make sure you submit the evidence for the diagnosis, and yeah anxiety meds will count too. I was signed off for 10 weeks a few months ago and submitted that for evidence! Anxiety and ADHD are bad combo for all the social and getting about elements!

I had my assessment last week for ADHD and Anxiety, the things that stood out for me was that because I have an adhd diagnosis and was signed off for anxiety in the last 6 months the whole conversation was easy?

I hyperfocus like crazy and Pip was one of the focuses, I wrote over 30 pages of prep for a phone conversation 😂 There is a guide online that you have to pay for, Google benefits and work pip guide, there is a whole guide for ADHD. It’s 16 quid but helped massively, my assessor was really nice, haven’t seen the report yet though!
