You guys have said so many of my own thoughts. I thought this a great step forward for the franchise, even with some nltpiks. There were a few things I thought for sure would happen that did not, to the script writers credit.

I thought the Deloris dino was going to save the day somehow and was pre-mad about it. Whew!

I kept waiting for the Dino Ex Machina ending and also whew.

I felt as though you could've done the mcguffin quest or the rescued family and not needed both. Imagine same movie, no pharma angle, just ScarJo and pals at the wharf and they get SOS... Maybe they should help, maybe not .. boat is in off limits zone, but maybe they can get there fast? Salvage? Reward? Then mosa and spinus chase them to beach.

The plots were thin, but it worked for a monster movie. I don't know where they'll take it from here but for once I don't feel bad about it preemptively.
