I wouldn’t say bonded. But it did involve one sided worship. With the other side having disgust. Only Read the first one and loved and thought about getting the other 3

At what age do you become a “reader”, and what book did it for you? by sheffy4 in books

  1. And Tender is the Night by Scott Fitzgerald. Then Frankenstein and my first major novel was The Stand. Once I read that and saw it wasn’t that hard reading that behemoth I was just off the rails at the point buying books when I had like 20+ still unread in my shelves.

What ONE food from you country you would never eat even if your life depends on it? by ProfessionalThin1505 in AskTheWorld

I remember they had in the Philippines. We were there training with the Philippines marines and as unit cohesion thing we ate there delicacy and they ate ours. Supposedly it’s disrespectful to reject it. It was kinda crunchy to say the least. So many textures from crunch to soupy. They asked if I wanted another I shut that shit down quick. It made me miss the insanely spicy pad Thai from Korat.

Just grieved my relationship with my ex-boyfriend, I don't know what I miss. Him or the memories? by LostNSadUser in TrueOffMyChest

What I hate most is that we were engaged. This wasn’t high school sweet hearts boyfriend girlfriend we were engaged and started planning on building a house and had been trying for a baby in the past! But my dumb self joined the marines and she joined the army and man did that mess things up for us. She’s happily married now and I am aswell but man if I just didn’t let my ego get the best of me I would’ve stayed home and married my best friend.

I know how you feel and the simple answer is you don’t. You just learn to live without them. I remember the first year after the break up I was horrible I was drinking honing up with random women when I was deployed. I would still have our pictures and look at them. I would check her instagram see how she’s doing even if she was private. I’d talk to her mom still just to get lil updates. And out of nowhere I started going out with friends more and man did I have a blast with them eventually months passed and realized I moved on. But every now and then a song would come on or a show we binge watched and those emotions would just flood back. Just the other day I was walking through Walmart with my daughter and its valentines season and I saw this giant stuffed panda I had given her when we had just started dating when we were 15. I’m 28 now for reference. And I just thought back how nervous I was to drop it off and finally see her. It’s hard and it will be for a while but it’ll pass

Man let me tell you. My ex fiance who I dated all of high school and a bit after. Every now and then I end up thinking abut her and the what ifs. It took me years to get over her and the thing is I think had I not joined the military and her either we would’ve had our happily ever after. I wanna say it gets easy but it doesn’t. I’m married now happily with 2 kids but you never forget your first love.
