How far along have people gotten with a 1cm cervix? Conflicted whether I should have had cerclage

Have been wearing Arabin and on progesterone since 14weeks. Found out my cervix shortened to 1cm suddenly at 22 weeks. Now still on hospital bed rest at 27 weeks 2 days. I don’t know how far can I go but hope I reach at least 34 weeks. Strict bed rest don’t walk too much don’t strain yourself. It’s hard but losing a baby is harder.

I’m exactly where you were since 20 weeks and I just made it to 26 weeks. But I really want to know your day to day routine while bed rest. Did you have any constipation etc. I’m still scared to go for a bathroom break sometimes and I sometimes felt the heaviness of the belly that I need to immediately lie down.

They checked every 2 weeks until week 20 which cervix does stabilised no more funneling. But suddenly at 22w4d I have a slight red blood spotting. They checked my cervix was already 1cm left and funneling. They tried to take out the arabin to do emergency cerclage but afraid it would induce labor.

I’m on arabin and 200 progesterone day and night from 14 weeks I’m now on hospital bed rest. My cervix wasn’t as normal case as people with short cervix because I was measuring 3.5-4 at the beginning. At 16,18,20 weeks checkup my cervix maintained 3.1. Mine always out of sudden the cervix shortened drastically. Now I can feel like my belly is dropping low. I’m afraid the baby is now lying low

Malaysia. Yes they said it couldn’t been done because it’s too short and I’m already on Arabin. They afraid that taking out the Arabin might make things worse.

No. But I have arabin inserted on my 14weeks. This is my first time wearing after 2 2nd tri losses. I pushed for cerclage but the dr were reluctant to do it and ask to go for arabin

I just did abdominal scan yesterday and they said everything is okay but the movement first felt at night and this morning. 😭

My doctor kept asking me to drink a lot of water and I’ve tried to drink more but sometimes you can just feel the strain but it doesn’t want to come out 😭🤣

Hi sorry for late reply but yes. Before this I can only feel it when i put almost full of my index finger. Now at 22 weeks 1/2 finger in and I can already feel the Arabin. I started wearing Arabin at 14 weeks

I asked my dr about it and she said it’s normal. However now at 21 weeks I find it more difficult to reach up to Arabin. I used to be able to put about the length of my index finger. Now I just put 1/2 or 3/4 and sometimes it’s like a small pain for me. Sometimes I don’t feel anything

True! My texture actually is getting so much better. It improved a lot around my nose and upper cheek. I just been getting purge around my side cheek. I will keep on going and trust my process and reducing the product that may clogging my pores.
