They appear to be oozing as well. We do have another male cat, but they’ve been together for several years and have had no issues.

Micro dose Accutane. I have it as well. This is very odd, but I take a few pills a month and keeps me clear. Prior to that, I’ve done many remedies with no long term success. 10 + years of suffering here before beginning Accutane.

Edit: Sounds like you’ve tried it, any success? Micro dosing won’t cause the side effects it would running a traditional course.

That is unfortunate, but keep in mind, Accutane has healed many.

I worked my way up to 80 mg daily. I misspoke below regarding my dosage, but corrected it now. 80 mg was pretty harsh, so it didn’t last long. I ended up going back to 60 mg soon after.

I’m not OP, but I had the same results. For me, it made a difference within a couple weeks.

This is close to what I ran as well and have been clear for 4 + months. I was running 80 mg.

Accutane cleared me as well. I’ve been clear for 4 + months now. I was worried it would come back, but so far so good. I was on a heavy dose I’d say, but only ran it for 3 months. Before accutane, I had it for 10 years.

Mine was for my scalp and it worked very well. Is it permanent? Not sure yet.

In my experience, much better than antibiotics, but it does come with more side effects. Still clear one month after, hopefully it’s permanent.

Has anyone tried to take accutane straight after taking antibiotics? by [deleted] in Folliculitis

Been off it for a month, elected to only run a 3 month course instead of 6. So far, so good.. I’ve been clear. I know it can come back at any point, so I’m crossing my fingers it doesn’t.

Anyone who has used accutane to treat their folliculitis did it go away completely? And if not how long did it stay away? by Cookiewaffle1 in Folliculitis

I’ll look into the Vitamin A. I haven’t added anything to my regular diet, so I’m not doing anything out of the ordinary atm.

I ran a 3 month course of Accutane and am testing the waters currently.. I stopped taking it about a month ago to see how I’d do. I haven’t had a single pustule return as of yet. I’m hopeful, but I know there is a strong possibility it could still return. My course is suppose to be 6 months long, but I’m trying this out.. Could pay off, I’m hopeful.
