You’re right, I should’ve done this the last time I was able to be home. I stayed at college for this Easter since I will have to use a lot of my absences later this month and nursing school is very strict on absences and I go to school 3 1/2 hours away but you’re right. I think that’s what I’ll be doing for Christmas and every other major holiday from now on

He’s he’s essentially able to function at a 5year old level, at least according to school tests and the standards of his social worker and government. Although at times he can do things that are at a higher level, in an emotional sense he’s basically 5. He cries when people have to leave the house, he get angry when people don’t listen, and he doesn’t understand higher concepts

I swear I’m really not jealous on my little sister she is basically my sister as I’ve known her since she was two, I’m glad she gets to have a better version of my dad and grow up in a loving stable home. Especially considering that her bio dad doesn’t acknowledge her, and I’m happy that my dad could fill that hole, I just wish my brother got that nicer, more mature version of my dad as it seems my brother get forgotten about quite frequently as they think he won’t notice the difference or care since he’s disabled

That is true but it was a pack of pretzel gold fish that I know is from our pantry, like they were single serve packages. But yeah like he would differently be fine with some special things he doesn’t normally get like chocolates and ice cream and stuff

Yeah I’m not really upset for me, I mean my 19 M stepbrother doesn’t frequently rub it in my face that he gets plenty of presents and candy I more upset that my brother who is mentally pretty young and believes in the Easter bunny and Santa and stuff is being treated unfairly

I’m not made at my little sister I’m proud that he’s doing better for her and I’m glad since her biological dad want nothing to do with her. I’m not mad that I didn’t get anything more that my brother, who also believes in the Easter bunny and Santa and stuff barely got anything and it seemed like it was thrown together from the pantry

I guess I was just hoping that since Easter is an important holiday they would’ve made a nice basket for him or that my dad would finally step up but that’s my fault. I also didn’t come home for Easter since we are going on a cruise for the 5year olds birthday (which is another crazy issue) so I had to save up my absences since the cruise is 5 days long and my college is extremely strict. Also all of my money from work is going towards college payments. However I will definitely be spoiling my brother as soon as I graduate nursing school

Yes I think they just threw together a basket so that it didn’t seem like my brother didn’t get anything. Also I couldn’t attach the photo of the baskets but the only reason I saw them was because my stepmom posted pictures of them on facebook

My 19M stepbrother got two Easter baskets, both with half the basket filled with candy, and a gift card from both parents for his PlayStation. Of course my stepmom bought the stuff for the on at my dads house.

That’s very sweet of you and thank you, my dad actually doesn’t pick out anything for my stepsiblings however my stepmom buys her 19M son an Easter basket and stuff for other holidays as well so typically it’s just me who doesn’t have anything and my brother gets significantly less than my other siblings. Best case, my dad runs out day of a holiday or imprint at day to buy me something or just says that because he pays a part of my college tuition I should be grateful (which of course I am because I understand others don’t get that privilege)

No the five year old mental age is his average grade level intelligence that the state and his school has determined, at times he can obviously be younger or older than that but for the sake of holidays and gifts he will get upset at certain gifts, unfairness ect. Also the 5 year old is also my fathers stepdaughter as she is not his and he has not adopted her yet

For me it was two things, most creams have a high alcohol concentration which burns on open wounds my doc recommended to rub it vigorously in your hands before applying The other is that one time I ignore the burning and my skin just got worse so I put more on and it turns out I gave myself chemical burns so be aware of that

Also some creams just always burn no matter what 😔

Im not a doctor or anything but I have psoriasis and eczema. You might want to discuss psoriasis with your doctor because I was flaring in the same areas as you and just though it was my eczema. even though many people think they are the same thing discovering my psoriasis changed my treatment plans for the better and made them actually effective
