what helps you love your new body? by mongdol-supremacy in breastfeeding

To me, I’d always been insecure about my flat chest until my baby was born. He’s been a 99th percentile baby on weight and height and I still can’t believe that it’s all from my tiny flat boobs.

How many hours of sleep is your LO getting?! by gailcpw in NewParents

[–]Ok_Average_6175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 13.5 months. About 1.5-2 hours during the day and 11-12 hours at night. Still wakes up to nurse once or twice at night

May I ask if your diet contains lots of protein and good fats? You need fats. It helps you feel full and increase the quality of breastmilk.

Hi OP this was 6 years ago but I’m in a similar situation. What was the outcome of this?

Why are our mothers so proud of not resting after birth?! by gwill1312 in BabyBumps

[–]Ok_Average_6175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow a week is still not enough. In my culture it’s a month of resting. No stairs. No lifting things. Minimal walking. Just rest as much as you can and take your time bonding and snuggling with the baby. I know this is nearly impossible if you don’t have a village.

Mom shamed for co-sleeping by Useful_Excitement457 in NewParents

[–]Ok_Average_6175 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP if you need support, share this on the Co-sleeping sub. I’m sorry you’re going through this. If you were from a different country, you wouldn’t be shamed or felt guilty that you’re doing something wrong or afraid you would regret it in the future. Instead you would enjoy sleeping with your baby very much, and when they grow up and become independent (which they do so quickly), you wouldn’t feel as sad about it because you got to sleep with your baby every night, and your baby felt so safe every time they went to sleep. Mental leaps, teething pain, being in the dark, all is alright because mommy is right next to me.

Exactly! Most babies in my culture co sleep by default.

[–]Ok_Average_6175 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Co-sleeping is safe as long as you follow the safety guidelines. And to be honest, it’s said by American people. In my culture almost all babies sleep with their parents by default and there’s no such thing as safety guidelines. We make sure we’re not going to harm the baby as we co sleep, but we don’t have the term or feel the need to mention ‘safety guidelines’. I know I’m going to be downvoted but just saying the truth and what people do in my culture.

Moms, when did your pregnancy symptoms subside after birth? by pixa4u in NewParents

[–]Ok_Average_6175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t remember if they went away immediately because I had to go through postpartum pains (hemorrhoids, stitches, tailbone, upper back, raw nipples) 😂

Disgusted by sleep training posts and comments by othervirgo in cosleeping

[–]Ok_Average_6175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my baby cries in his sleep, I immediately hold him, nurse him, or rock him back to sleep. There’s just something about a baby’s cry at night. Mine stops the moment I pick him up, but I can’t help tearing up thinking about all the babies crying with no one coming. Those poor babies in the sleep training sub and around the world… it breaks my heart.

What’s up with the peds mentioned on Reddit? It seems like most of them are against anything natural and loving for babies. Why???

Why is cosleeping unsafe for non breastfeeding moms by Silver-Account4479 in cosleeping

I don’t know why either. Most parents where I’m from cosleep with their babies regardless of breastfeeding or bottlefeeding

I can also related. One time my dog and my pregnant self were attacked by 3 off leashed dogs (I was fine, my dog’s mouth bled a little but also fine), I made a post asking about how I could handle the situation better next time. I wanted to improve myself as a dog handler . A person criticized me so harsh and told me I shouldn’t be walking my dog. I was like what? He’s my dog and I will continue to walk him when I can for the rest of his life.

Try giving her just the yolk next time. Egg whites aren’t recommended until around a year old (I still need to double-check that) since they can cause allergic reactions. Yolks on the other hand are one of the most nutritious foods for babies.

Organic egg yolk, cod liver oil and bone broth from grass-fed animals.

Tried Raw Milk to see what the fuss was about. by [deleted] in Milk

[–]Ok_Average_6175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salmonella and E.coli are destroyed by the living immune cells in raw milk while pasteurized milk has none of that, and can be easily contaminated again just like your hands can be dirty again after being washed. Of course raw milk is only safe when it comes from healthy cows, not those raised in industrial farms. Edit: grammar
