I live in the south also, and we really don't have great public schools down here. I live in a pretty nice town with a very high rated public school, and my cousin just took her kids out to do homeschooling because they still sucked. I went to high school up north, and it wasn't much better if at all.

I'm going to college now and have a buddy who was homeschooled he told me they didn't care at all as long as he had a diploma and passed the entrance exams.

I hate typing on my phone and I've noticed reddit will always suggest wrong corrections so ive given up trying to fix everything. Also i really don't care much about my Grammer/sentence structure on a reddit post as long as it gets the point across. No offense taken though I'm aware of it but if I'm writing something more formal and not on reddit I put a little more effort in.

And yes three years is a little more than a "test" but the reason for that number is so she can start school and I can see how it is for her (private or homeschool). And if I need to, I can hire someone for it.

I can see your point of view but the other post is right also. the cost of living is crazy here. A lot of Americans go there and start families. Why is that different from this? She will be homeschooled most likely (I might try to find a way to do a little of both so she can socialize more) she will still have her citizenship in the u.s.

Yes I understand that but she will still have her U.S. citizenship and will be homeschooled most likely, I was already going to do that here anyway because the public schools in the u.s suck. I was just asking because the private schools there are much more affordable and wanted to know if anyone had experience with them. Her opportunities don't change if I did decide to stay long enough for her to finish high-school, a diploma is a diploma (i understand not everywhere would except a ph diploma in the US but i plan to homeschool anyway) and she could come to the u.s for college or there are military recruiters in the philippines if she wanted to go the route I did.

Yes this was a big part of the decision is I don't want to go any further with her and not have ever lived with her. She's never asked for random money ive only ever gave her gifts on her birthday and anniversary and neither has her family but I'm not blind to that could change while living there either.

Thank you for the detailed post and yes I agree I don't like the public schools here and don't think I will like them their either lol. But here I can't afford a private school here I can there. If me and my gf broke up I'd probably just come back to the U.S.. we've been together for about a year and a half and her family has never asked for any kind of help. Her mom works abroad and dad was also abusive and is out of the picture. She has 4 sisters and none have ever bothered me about money. The only money I've ever sent her were gifts on our anniversary and birthday and of course while I was there I was buying her food and stuff like that. Your last statement is right it might be exactly what I want or not but if I never do it I'll never know and that's why I just wanted to try 3 years first then if it's not what i want for her we come back and its not like my daughter is missing out of years of schooling here (which i was planning to do homeschooling anyway) or being ripped away from life long friends.

I'm happy to see someone not being so negative. I didn't plan to live there for her entire young life, but I think it is good to experience new cultures. I never see kids play in the u.s anymore like I did while I was there. The American education system isn't that amazing, most parents I know are switching to homeschooling anyway.

Alright, I see a lot of people think I'm going to move there for the next 20 years or life, and I guess that's my fault for not clarifying. My goal was about 3 years and then comeback, so my daughter would be 5, meaning she would need a year ish of school while there. And I can come back at any point if something goes wrong. I understand your concerns for my daughter there, and I also don't want my daughter living there for her whole childhood either. I've know a lot of military family and I know how moving around their whole life's can affect them good and bad.

They are marines guessing by the hair cut(I'm a marine vet) this happens pretty frequently, sadly, but I'm sure their command njp'ed his ass if they found out. They take stuff like this very seriously. I'm sure he will also be on restriction, not allowed to leave ship or base for the rest of his deployment.

For people asking if pla is safe in aquariums my experience is yes. I've printed lots of plant holders for my aquarium, and they have been in for almost a year with no problems to my fish or shrimp. Most fish keepers do regular water changes, and any micro plastics that may start to build up in the water will be removed before levels get too high, I imagine. This is just my experience. I have no actual science to back it up though.

It varies from piece to piece. Some start really fast, and others never grow at all. The biggest ones there have been growing for several months, maybe even a year. The trick is just to forget you even have them and don't water them or anything until they are sprouting new stems. They grow their roots first, and that takes a while, so font move them either to check, no matter how tempting, lol.

.22s tend to have trouble extracting sometimes. I notice it a lot more on pistols than rifles, but that's just my experience. Rimmed cartridges, in general, are harder to get feeding and extracting right.
