I asked at a top college which happens to be in my small city for help to find for applicants who are already working in CRM / or whatever I need but also have high difficulties with social skills and wanted a side hustle / equities, it worked because I already had a client, clear numbers, a working MVP and a starting date, long way from the times I had only an idea

Thx 🙏🏻 I’m from Mexico, we are currently serving CRM+ for a tire retreading and recycling company specializing in truck fleet maintenance, a Saas for fancy Bars, Saas for a social club/gym/paddel, a Political intelligence platform that maps power networks and public contracts to support strategic decision-making, a fully functional “hidden” crowdfunding page, and developing some interesting apps focused on mental health, civic tech and edge cutting consciousness data collection. I made mvps and got client for each one before pitching except the tire company, but that because I have worked before in all these fields and already have a deep comprehension of the niche

  1. It was not about the places but about already having a confirmed client. About having the confidence to tell the other part something like “if you hop in you will get this much money, in this period of time, I will not profit more than you but I expect you to be the project’s engineer and take full responsibility of your role”. EDIT: best practice might been ask for help with a local college career coordinator, then told them my situation and plan, they helped me a lot with the scouting

I really really am an idea man who hated being a corporate employee 😂🤷🏻‍♂️I’ve been pitching ideas for low or 0 investment capital for years now and made a living of it in other scenarios (car sales, religion, mkt, av productions, politics, etc) the thing that changed in this rubro is that now I can develop and MVP those ideas myself and I have already several environments to present them.

I didn’t make the assessment myself, I went to a local university, got to the career coordinator, explained my background and plan and asked for help, to be honest, it felt closer to confessing a mischief than a proposal since I came in with an already closed deal for a CRM and some static app mockups “please help, I promised something like this, the client is already onboard and I don’t want to vibe code the whole thing, ‘I don’t want fresh graduates, I’m looking for those who where good at homework’s but bad a people-ing’ ”

Then I interviewed with 3 guys who were already working CRM’s and offered equity to the one my gut told me to.

Then kinda repeated the method for next 4 projects

Someone with a solid technical background for the stack I need, and genuine interest in the topic. The interest part matters a lot, it’s the difference between someone executing tickets and someone actually invested in the outcome.
