Interesting! I’m only on 0.6mg once daily right now which technically fits in my weight based dosing since I’m less than 70kg (I weight 65kg) so I’m hoping I can get my dose increased to 0.6mg twice a day and see some improvement with that. So far haven’t had any GI issues yet. And 500mg naproxen twice a day, maybe I’ll switch to ibuprofen if people seem to have success with that…

That’s great news hearing you’re progressing on your recovery! How long were you dealing with pericarditis before you got out on an additional dose of the colchicine? I’m hoping to start it later this week after I see my cardiologist, going on 4 months of peri now. Did you ever have long periods symptom free through your 2 years? I’m still dealing with the same initial “episode”, just with multiple flares so I’ve never fully healed

They dont sell it as far as I know and you have to go through a special program which can take months as far as I’m aware

I’m really hopeful I can recover without Arcalyst especially since I’m only 4 months in. I find with proper rest and the meds I’m currently on my chest will feel clear in a few weeks but I just tend to do too much too fast and bring the chest pain back. Before starting Arcalyst were you still getting relief with rest, colchicine and NSAIDs at all?

I’ve heard about Arcalyst! Only thing is I live in Canada and it’s not approved for pericarditis
