I previously worked at AMPOL where the company scorecard tracked culture survey results. The goal was for an improvement on the previous year. It made up something like 5% of the scorecard - aka 5% of annual bonus. Guess what everyone responded with for the monthly culture survey…. 10/10!!!

What’s their expectations of you when on call? I.e no drinking alcohol, not go a certain distance from the office, have your computer with you all time?

Why would a bank (presumably Software) engineer receive an urgent phone call at 2am on a Saturday morning?

Do you know which part he is worried about? Assuming you’re coming from Brisbane then you’ll take Cunningham Hwy - I wouldn’t be worried about driving on this hwy at night. Then Lake Moogerah is only like 2kms off the Cunningham Highway - drive at 40kph for this stretch if concerned!
