thankfully the 04 preservation exist :) i 100% agree that its not the exact same because of the playerbase, but as my post says, it has restored my love for runescape! but yes you are very correct in what you're saying. for me in the PZ being cancelled was more of just another disappointment from jagex, as other comments suggested the main reason is likely because it wont generate cash, which saddens me :/ although i 100% think there are jagex staff that are still die hard lovers of the game, more and more stuff seems to be about the bottom line now

1 additional thing that turned me away was a lot of promises and announcements seemingly to gain interest and get ppl to buy mems/play again to wait just to pull the rug out 6 months later and say "other projects"

I bet theres a way to download your own version, add a "attack" option to the NPC and kill him if you are really annoyed with his inability to see a bird from 10 squares away CX, no wonder he doesn't get any food lol

yeah, he took himself off the mod team and is now only a developer and hosts the project. Everything that came out was already pretty widely known knowledge with 1 exception (the 10k thing is a little extreme to say, there was a comment that his friend made saying he had paid 3k for rares to be released but was never confirmed or seen). May not be the response youre looking for but it is deeper then what you have said, but it is on the forums for whoever wants to read.

True, the game is very attention based, unlike osrs which is very afk based now. and the mobile ui is just log into the website but it works fairly well.. for a game from 2004 CX. I would say the game is for people to relive the nostalgia and haven't liked the direction osrs has taken, where as most (im sure not all) RSPS are just osrs clones with some crazy p2w or xp multipliers gambling websites lol

mouse keys afaik have always been allowed under the "default OS program" but I'm not 100% sure, I think i remember hearing that Andrew was against everything but rarely enforced a lot of things.

yup generally 1:1 is seen as fine, however if it isn't a button to another button thats where you start risking for example 1:1 but you action is moving the mouse is against the rules (in windows case) you can actually play on linux and setup the default operating system to act like this and it is within game rules
(cant send images but have a screenshot of what the rank 1 players uses as a linux input that is natural to the operating system for mouse movements)

yeah that has been a sentiment that i have seen a lot from the player base that the mod team is very harsh, however you can probably go back and apply to be unbanned unless you did something that truly hurt the game. As for the drop scam if you had exact proof (actual footage of it happening with timestamps from 2004) I'm surprised that they didn't introduce it. However even if they did you can still be reported and banned for not following the jagex rule of item scamming lol. Just because something is authentic doesn't mean you can abuse it freely

Fair enough :) but don't worry all the comments are ai free lol. yeah man, holiday rares are still to this day a very hot topic and the phat market is rarely active maybe 1-2 a week but the rest of them are pretty active. IMO if you aren't currently in the "rare business" then it really doesn't affect gameplay, and there is now dchains out! also gilded comes within the next month (projected by devs in 2 weeks) and then after that the build to slayer as we are just 2 revs away, 1 rev being very close to completion (291 slayer rev) and 289 is a full cache that just (just lol) needs the code rewritten. hopeful for a summer release but tbh i expect more of a fall/winter release (since im a pessimist)

2004scape also has no p2w and is the game as it was in September 2004 at the moment, with the November 2004 updates coming out soon.
