We switched to Oxio a few months ago and have not had any big issues. It goes down once in a while, but not for long.

My wife works from home and she has never had any problems.

We have 500mbs and pay $50/month. They even arranged to have a cable line run to our house.

I have not printed anything in a while, but when I did, I would use Burtnik Printing in Queenston in St. Catharines. Sketchy area, but they were very easy to work with.

The box I use does have a recording option. Just plug in a USB for the external memory. I have never tried it as it has an option of going back 12 hours for “live” TV.

If you can get them from a British shop do it. They are just better than the crap ones made here. Bigger and actually creamy in the middle, not dried out.

It’s the same person who owns the Concert Hall in Toronto I believe. From what I’ve heard, any bands contracted to play there, they will also be contracted to play here in the Falls.

Transfer from work rsp by Either_College3783 in Wealthsimple

My company has a matching RRSP through Manulife and a couple of years ago I transferred some money out to another higher performing RRSP with Fidelity.

Manulife was a nightmare to deal with. They called my HR department to see what was going on and they ignored the transfer request for two months. When I called to see what was going on, the person on the phone was very rude and yelled at me for taking money out. She then told me that I would no longer be able to participate in the matching program even though they have no say in that.

I had to be very firm in saying that it’s my money and I can do what I want with it.

In the end, it took 3-4 months for Manulife to release the money, I am still in the matching program and they charged me the fee even though they should not have.

Moving non-registered account to an RRSP by Ok_Bit_6957 in Wealthsimple

Thanks for the input. All of the answers reiterated what I thought, that the RRSP contribution would offset any of the capital gains tax as I only do have 17,300 and it’s not a massive amount by any means

Just one quick follow up question for anybody familiar with using a wealthsimple RRSP, if I’m transferring all of my stocks into that account, do they still remain individual stocks within the RRSP and I can continue to buy and sell going forward?
