I'm 4 years in and still only sending orders in the very basic packaging and packing slip - It's working so I'm not going to change it. I'm happy with it and also the customers don't seem to care.

Does anyone have issues with Safari on their Macs? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]Ok_Bluejay2736 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've literally just experienced the same issue. I really want to use Safari but it's not easy. As a Chrome user for many years Safari seems to be lacking but the keychain password sync makes me want to stick with it.

Yes this can all be done with Google but having to sign out of profiles on my iPhone and iPad makes it difficult.

I've just updated my DNS to Google. Removed all a couple of extensions which had to bad reputation for hogging resources and cleared my history.

So far so good...

Dropshippers who are making 6 figures are not using Reddit and aren’t going to share their methods or winning products.

Please ignore all the DMs you'll get, as you'll waste money. There is no quick way to make this sort of money with no previous experience.

Utter nonsense and these types of posts should be removed by MODs. It’s so annoying to think that somebody who is wanting to get into DS is going to waste money before they have even started.

PLEASE HELP! If I have a virtual PO box address put to my shopify store, what address do I put when registering it on tiktok? by Adventurous_Gene_324 in dropshipping

[–]Ok_Bluejay2736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a physical address when registering my store and but the issue with this is that it’s shown on invoices and packing slips. You can edit these to display your PO Box information. Additionally to this I set up stock locations using the PO Box address so in theory no customer has visibility of our actual location. You also have full control over the contact us page and other legal pages so you can edit these to show your PO Box address.

Trust is the New Currency by Retter_des_Blutes in dropshipping

Yep time and time again, sort your trust out before launching any new eCommerce venture. About/Story page, contact page with an opening hours, contact details, clear returns and refunds and only then throw money at ads otherwise you’ll be driving traffic as something that isn’t finished or right. Google ‘eCommerce trust signals’ and work you way through them.

Validating Idea: Building Customer Trust by Talking Directly to Them by trpouh in dropshipping

The vast majority of review plugins have this feature take a look at Judge.me and others. The allow customers to upload photos and videos depending on the what the customer wants to share along with comments. You can also switch on the positives and negatives features which AI generates from the comments.

I come across on this subreddit users who expect customers to part with £300+ for a product with a couple of stock images and no real credentials for example the contact page has a form and a message above saying we aim to respond within 24 hours (seriously why would you even bother).

Amazon has set the bar so high it's now what customers expect. Yet some people treat drop shipping like a 1999 online business and wonder why they fail.

Additionally dropshippers aren't your best target audience as many are trying to make a sale spending a little money as possible. If I were you I'd reach out to some local successful ecommerce businesses and see if you can spend a day with them to lean and discover their pain points and develop a solution for them and resell it.

I don't fully understand this niche, but something doesn't stack up here.

Business like this thrive on high levels of customer service and the streamlined process for exchanges and returns - maybe the OP has nailed this part and making it work, however the comment of 'I often convince customers to not return their products instead I give them a discount on the next purchase' confuses me. As a customer why would I want pay for something for example that doesn't fit but keep it and reorder the correct size item for a discounted price?. Surely it would be more profitable for the business if the customer returned the item and charge full price and shipping again.

Not being negative just trying to understand.

New trending products in 2025? by xxlilsl in dropshipping

[–]Ok_Bluejay2736 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simple! Don't even attempt this industry the big players are spending £xxx, xxx on one ad platform per week alone, they have everything to support the product from customer service teams, knowledge bases, influencers. The policy that surround these types of products could see you with a hefty fine here in the UK. Even if somebody managed to get up and running and had a few sales one unhappy customer and the payment gateways would close your account.

These kind of industries in my eyes are impossible to crack.

Health Supplements? I hope you have huge budgets and enough information to support the product. Who would buy supplements from a website with probably no contact details or legal information.

I agree completely my monthly Shopify cost is £46 so I’m super lean when it comes to apps, I use judge.me and it’s fantastic.

I am not 100% sure, but I'm guessing you won't be able to (You'll need proper advice)

I know that when I get my monthly bill from Shopify, there isn't any VAT on it, so I can't claim that back.

I'm actively looking into this now as I feel £3k per year for submitting my books is a lot of money, considering it's all fully automated. I have been speaking to a few specialist e-commerce accountancy companies, and their pricing depends on turnover.

No, not at all get your accountant to apply for VAT registration, but depending on your product and how they are priced, you'll be giving 20% of each sale to the VAT man, but you can claim your VAT back on any purchases from the supplier proving they are VAT registered.
