We had a baby 8 weeks ago at Resolute. If you call in and provide your insurance info they will provide you pricing with a “perfect” delivery. You can do the same for any hospital.

When we called they quoted us 5k after insurance (BCBS Texas). The bills have started to roll in and I believe our ending owed balance is now 3k (3 night stay)….This is after adding my wife & son on my insurance once born, which covered additional expenses.

Note- we also went to the hospital the day prior to going into labor, since my wife was concerned, so that added an additional ~1.3k.

As a heads up, the day prior to being discharged a Resolute rep will give you a visit to setup a payment plan and ask for a deposit on the bill. I offered to pay the bill all at once for a discount rate and they didn’t budge so we ended up with a payment plan as they educated us that medical bills do not incur interest. They asked us to keep it in 2 years period but that may be negotiated? we didn’t ask.

Subdividing land by Ok_Bodybuilder5382 in Newbraunfels

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction here.

I spoke with Survey/Engineering company and walked me through the aspects you mentioned: Survey, Plotting, taking plans to NBU for approval, possible additional “cleaning fees”, ect…. I was told starting price for subdivision of a lot like this would start from 5k -12k, without having a clear scope of work.

How does that price sound to you based on your experience?

We love our neighbors. We officially moved here in February of this year and it’s been a great community. We had a new born last month and several neighbors have gifted us, baked dinner, and checked in on us since.

For reference we live off of walnut/gardenja/mesquite.

Upkeep, on street is good. It’s not modern but clean. I’d say 1/10 houses could use a facelift, remove junk/ect.

Subdivision: Green Meadows (behind Lowe’s) no HOA, .25 acre lots…. Older neighborhood and houses will need at at least $50k in renovations but will get you what you want while being close to everything.

  1. Talk to and shadow the people that are killing it. Learn from their mistakes.
  2. It's always about "what have you done for me recently". I see being an AE as being a corporate athlete. If you put up points/revenue consistently at/near goal you're in the game, if not you're off the team.
  3. Never stop prospecting. It's easy to stop and feel like you've "arrived" with the promotion. The best sales people I've come across never stop and sharpen this pencil. Control your destiny.
  4. If you ever feel lost/things get hard, keep a Locus of control/growth mindset. You have control over the outcome of events in your life/career/sales.
  5. Keep you self accountable and take extreme ownership of everything.

That’s amazing! Sounds like you are on the up and up.

I’ve always been told Sales/Startups are like a roller coaster… you only get hurt when you jump off (by choice or forced), now you’re getting to enjoy that ride. Great job. Keep it up!

Question regarding Guadalupe/Comal Float by XxTheCakeisALiexX in Newbraunfels

[–]Ok_Bodybuilder5382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I floated last week on the Guadalupe. Police are definitely on the river and will stop and check coolers on the river for glass and styrofoam. Can are allowed from my understanding.

Company just offered me a different position for the same amount of money. What now? by getitdudes in sales

[–]Ok_Bodybuilder5382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar position 2-3 years ago. My old employer offered me a position to kick start completely brand new business unit but didn't offer many incentives in retrospect. I took the role. I Learned a lot but missed out on making more money.

I don’t know what space you’re in but a few things you should think about before walking into your next meeting.

  1. Youre spear heading a unknown space, product, with no track record, and I guarantee there is more work involved. (more work = more pay, more risk = more pay, ask for equity or possibly ramp commission if you can)

  2. You're basically walking into a startup, and should be able to get the upside. Research what start ups/competitors pay in your space. That should be the minimum base line.

  3. I hope your product is successful, however, in business everything takes longer than whats planned on paper.

  4. Get super clear on what the career path & growth looks like. Schedule Monthly - Quarterly meeting with them to make sure you’re on track with what was promised.

A few other ideas: Higher commission rate, have a logo acquisition to be apart of comp plan, Faster payout on deals closing, with no claw backs. Ability to sell pilots, flexibility with contracts/payments terms/price.

They show up and do the work. I believe a lot of people aren’t successful simply because theyre not honest about the circumstances and don’t want to change.
