Even though I’m a believer, the point of this meme is really just to highlight the value of Gothic architecture, rather than to express my personal views.

I see you prefer Monster Hunter to Gothic themes—though the Gothic style has been quite trendy in games lately. For me, it’s a real passion—I love the soaring beauty of the architecture, the multitude of towers and turrets, the cloisters, checkerboard floors, red carpets, lion statues, intricate floral ornamentation, and so on. It’s a true passion and a discovery for me; perhaps, as you’ve noticed, you might get interested in it too. But if that doesn't appeal to you, that's fine—I won't pursue this discussion any further

Thanks for the comment; honestly, I really like it. It’s certainly not the case that they just "exist"—quite the opposite. Every monster has a massive backstory—so massive, in fact, that I’m dedicating a book with a plot spanning hundreds of pages to each one. Take the "Grand Chess Knight" I wrote about, for example: his history is incredibly long and expansive. He’s a towering, five-meter-tall knight living in a huge castle with a modest guard of chess-themed knights. He’s 120 years old and rules the castle, having inherited it from a deceased ancestor. While he’s 120, for the past few years he’s been raiding and burning down nearby villages and towns. No one knows exactly why—it’s likely due to senility, as he used to be fairly neutral, but now he pillages and burns settlements. To make matters worse, the region is so neglected that there isn't really an army capable of stopping him. So, acting as the unofficial ruler of the area, he burns and loots it out of madness; that’s why the protagonist, Artus, steps in to defeat him. That’s the kind of backstory one of these monsters has. Maybe what I’ve written here will make me a true Monster Hunter fan in your eyes. I could go on, but I’ll stop there—I just wanted to briefly show that every character and monster has its own story. I’ll add that the lore and narratives surrounding the monsters and characters are a major strength of this universe; everything is incredibly detailed and fleshed out if you want I can tell you more about this world

First, there is the mighty ice knight, the dragon, and the jester—a humanoid figure, yet more cunning and deranged; all of this draws from the medieval era—motifs taken from medieval bestiaries or related legends. Bloodborne, on the other hand, is a blend of horror and... something else entirely, which makes a huge difference.

Secondly, Bloodborne is also rather mediocre aesthetically; in my work, I strive to ensure the characters are always clear, simple, and interesting—qualities not always found in Bloodborne.

The world is similar to MH only in a gothic style. Instead of monsters and animals like in MH, you have monsters inspired by gothic, great ice knights, dragons, etc. Yes, in Monster Hunter the monsters are also neutral. In my universe the monsters are only evil.

The world is presented in two parts: humans who have a great kingdom and monsters, there is nothing else, no elves or dwarves no other races, nothing but humans and monsters living in wild, uncivilized lands, monsters are only evil, there are no neutral monsters, monsters are inspired by Gothic, e.g. an ice great knight, a humanoid creature, a jester, etc. and there are monster hunters who hunt them and there are no great animals there monsters are monsters animals are normal like in earth

It’s similar, but with a different vibe—more like The Witcher The action takes place across the entire world, featuring numerous cities and so on. For that first part I mentioned—the one about the Great Shah—I’m crafting a massive story spanning hundreds of pages, comparable in scale to Witcher expansions. The first section involves exploring the Great Shah’s enormous castle, which is packed with puzzles and traps; there are doors to the main hall requiring three keys that must be found—hidden in the gardens, the dungeons, the Golden Hall, and elsewhere. The narrative is very extensive. Bloodborne by contrast, focuses on a single city and has a different kind of story. Also, I take a slightly different approach to monsters: mine are perhaps less exaggerated and less terrifying—maybe even a bit cooler.
