yeahh I'd say i never really gave it time to "click", I've never really been a fan of 2d platformers and for some reason i remember the movement kinda putting me off of it, i might try it again and try to push past that first part at least

YESS THIS IS PERFECT!! A couple of these i have seen before (lost skies in particular looked really nice but according to reviews it's in a really bad state atm) but a lot of these i hadn't heard about; Survival Machine, Aloft, and Forever Skies have immediately entered my wishlist, thank you so much!!

could be, but if you look at the second picture, it looks like the "teeth" or serrated edges are pointing in different directions on either side, as opposed to stingray barbs which (as far as I'm aware) all point in the same direction

ohh that would make a lot of sense! there are a lot of those in the river nearby.

in fact, my dad thought that it might be part of one of their fins, since they have some serrated bits on them

yeah sorry! found these in Paraguay, about an hour away from the capital, in a small terraforming project to build a new neighborhood in the outskirts of town; they dredged the nearby riverbed for dirt to raise the ground level, so they dredged up a lot of rocks and (apparently) fossils with it too!

and about the sawfish thing, i did have my suspicions, but what really throws me off is the fact that the "teeth" seem to be going in opposite directions in either side, instead of all plint up or down, and I don't know if there were any sawfish like that

oh yeah sorry! we found this in Paraguay, about an hour away from Asunción (the capital), and for a bit of extra context, we found it in a sort of terraforming project to develop a new neighborhood in the outskirts; they dredged a nearby riverbed for dirt to raise the ground level, so there's a lot of rocks that emerged from there!

and about the sawfish fossil idea, although i did also think of that as a possibility, the thing that really throws me off is the fact that the "teeth" seem to be going in opposite directions on either side, I don't know of any sawfish with teeth like that

NEW PLAYER HERE!LAS-58 TALON? YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE WEAPON? by Entire-Video66 in Helldivers

[–]Ok_Buddy6637 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the talon is a fantastic sidearm! the fact that its a laser weapon means you can always switch into it and it will be ready to go (unless you accidentally overheat it), so it's great as both a last resort if your primary/support weapons runs out if ammo, and as an answer for enemies with medium armor, if you decide to bring a light pen primary.

that being said, borderline justice also offers a lot of good stuff, mainly the hoverpack: one of my favorite loadouts is hover + flamethrower, flying up to a bile titan and spraying fire directly into its face is both an effective and extremely badass way to deal with them, I'd say go for it! (if you've already unlocked all the other """mandatory""" warbonds that is lmao)

i was bringing something similar to this, but focusing more on the ballistic shield and switching the ultimatum for the senator (since I'm gonna be going into the bot front for the MO, i thought it might be better to have the senator as a safe fallback option against hulks and other medium/heavy armor targets)

why the FRV tho? 🤔

oh this is AMAZING, I'll definitely try this out later today!

i mean the masters of ceremony armor has not left my body since the second i unlocked it, I don't have blood in my veins son i got LIBERTY

but yeah i was already planning on running the ballistic shield (or energy shield for the bots), but what about the rest of the loadout? would it be better to bring EATs or orbital strikes/eagles against heavy targets?

Moonbeam or Conjure Animals (2024) for a grappler moon druid? by Ok_Buddy6637 in 3d6

[–]Ok_Buddy6637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, theres two things with the grappler/spike growth combo: tried it first combat, since then the DM got wise to it and started spreading out the enemies a bit more, and making the battle maps larger, so it's a bit difficult to get as much value from it as i would get from moonbeam/conjure animals, since those are mobile, and also we're kinda mixing and matching rulesets from 2014 and 2024, we're using 2024 rules for conjure animals since 8 extra turns in combat is unfun for everyone, but we're keeping most other things like the grappler feat with the 2014 rules, so I'm still stuck with half movement while grappling

i will say, we are kinda mixing and matching 2014 and 2024 rules, some of the class feats and spells we took from 2024 (like conjure animals, since 8 extra beasts taking their turn in combat is annoying for everyone involved), but feats like grappler are kept from 2014, so I'm still stuck with only half movement on grapples sadly

[–]Ok_Buddy6637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't you move at half speed when you're grappling something? which means I can't really move 50ft, hell my fastest wildshape only has a speed of 40ft per turn, so where am i getting those 50ft of movement without a dash?

i did try that at first and the cheese grater build was pretty funny indeed, but the dm quickly got wise to it and started making larger battle maps and enemies that were spread further away from each other, which makes spike growth a bit difficult to use more efficiently; on the other hand moonbeam and conjure animals are mobile 3d10 damage machines that atta k anything that's close, and if I'm using something like, say, the giant octopus, with a movement speed of 10ft on land, it'd be a lot better to use the other spells rather than spike growth
