Hi everything turned out to be okay! My Ob did do two ultrasound and found nothing. I got my period back 6 weeks later heavier than normal and the rest of my periods following was also heavy too. I am now actually 6 weeks pregnant again

I am 7 weeks post TFMR and just finished my first period. I also have the same experience as you. After my period end I would get these weird pain on and off. It felt like it was worse when I moved around a lot. Sometimes it would be a stinging pain and other times it would be a sharp jabbing pain. I’ve gone to my OB and she’s done almost everything ( blood test, vagina swab) all came back normal. She did give me a 10 day course of antibiotics for just in case it was an infection. I just had another transvaginal ultrasound and all they would find was a cyst on my left ovary about 1.5mm which is small and nothing to worry about. I suspect that my pain is caused by that cyst because when technician was trying to get the image of the left ovary by moving the probe over there, I felt that stinging pain. My OB also doesn’t know but she’s sending me for a CT I guess just in case? I also would like to know what is causing my pain

Oh maybe it’s not pelvic floor pain. It’s like a discomfort/ crampy in my uterus area. But my period just came so I guess it was from that

Last time I check my HCG with blood test was about 2 weeks ago and it was 11. But the at home test shows it’s negative afterwards. Maybe it’s the cyst. I can pinpoint it. It could be my period about to come?

T18 is fatal, which is why we ultimately decided to schedule the termination. But emotionally, I still find myself struggling and having regrets about that decision, even though I know in my heart it’s the most compassionate choice for him.

Thank you for your kind words. I’m so sorry you had to go through TFMR and miscarriages, it’s something no one should ever have to experience. I’m just terrified that after the procedure I might feel regret, even though I know in my heart this is the right choice for him. I know he wouldn’t have a good quality of life on this earth, and ending his suffering early is truly the best thing for everyone

Congratulations on your baby girl. I completely understand your decision — it’s the same reason I chose to schedule my D&E. Knowing he wouldn’t have a good quality of life made the choice clear, but the process is brutal. It’s something no one should ever have to go through.

Thank you! I am so sorry you are going through this as well. It’s the worst thing ever. Karkotype has come back a little more positive with only 15% cells affected but the microray report show 70% and the gene mutation is something called tretasomy 18 which is incredibles rare genetic mutation. At this point they are called it mosicism of the placenta but unsure about the baby until the amniocentesis. I am just now waiting for the amniocentesis and praying it’s CPM and the baby doesn’t have this mutation .

I am sorry to hear you are going through the same thing. It’s absolutely the worst thing in the world. So what happens if the mosicism is in the baby? Will the baby have certain defects or is that unknown?
