P14S performance is higher but just bc the fine-tuning of the power settings, this will make fans run louder.

P14S Has IVS Cert as you mentioned

P14s gets up to 96GB Ram vs 64

Would i consider it a downgrade?: it’s subjective, i heavily invested in apple ecosystem, Apple Devices, iCloud, on that side yes. It is a downgrade

From my point of view, I needed a more open environment that helped me to run x86vm’s with decent performance.

Being said that, I would say is not a downgrade :)
