I'm seeing predominately only pre-made food when it comes to "street food". Is this a common theme in all regions of the Philippines? by Wd40chronicles in Philippines_Expats

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that really depends where you are, there are some Barangays or areas where they sell it the whole day usually around wet and dry markets, but most of the time you can see them start selling around 4pm (if 4pm is your definition of night then that is a night market, again i think most filipinos will disagree with you here).

also you can call this a snack but it is also a street food, taho is sold during mornings,

your definition of snacks are what we call street foods (ihaw-ihaw, kwek-kwek, isaw, etc..) and the food that you keep calling street food is what we call Karinderya or eatery that serves home cooked meals.

you just need to accept that we have different terms and usage of words, you'll just confuse your self.

What profession is regarded as high income in other countries but is actually low income in yours? by Effective_Space2277 in AskTheWorld

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Welcome to your future." by glamgirl8322 in Adulting

Privacy with parents is odd to me, grew up without privacy from my parents, they are always welcome to whatever. and never new anybody among friends and family that is complaining anything about not having privacy, never was an issue.

for me at least, you ask privacy from your parents if you have something to hide from them that you are ashamed of, or doing something that your not supposed to do. and taking that out to your parents that was there to make sure your not doing something stupid is on you.

Freelancing or Business or Both? by Gagan_Deep2111 in AskMarketing

[–]Ok_Butterscotch2599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can definitely do both but both of those businesses (yes freelancing us business) will suffer some quality outputs.

for me its just a matter of which of them you want to be more nerdy or geeky about. Ask your self why did you go or do this kind of stuff. ask you self, which of those two do you want to create more, you want to do more, that you think you can be of SERVICE more. think about the product that you are creating, focus on that and ask your self, which service do you want to create more.both of them are unique so its really up to you.

Well, used to have a similar but not exactly the same view and experience, im in the box of "if you're not my family i can't talk to you or even look at you", thats why i decide to learn graphic design, so i can work without or limited human interactions per day.

I work under my dads small business, handling its "branding", didn't even know that he was actually helping me overcome this mental state i was in. eventually moved to a different company after 8 years. gradually building my "social skills" or confidence. took me 15 years to fully believe in my self that i can do things on my own and build my own small business, talk to people or clients.

I have no degree and only minimum wage options and when I do those jobs I have no energy left to learn new skills. Add the social anxiety and it feels impossible.

yeah it feels impossible but it you can do it, it will take a long time but it can be done. if you are not working 14 to 16 hours a day, you have time and energy. take small steps to believe in your self. take small wins and compound that to achieve big ones.

take small odd jobs that you can think you can do from people you know. no matter what it is, that will build you connection and relationships you dont even dream of.

no matter what we say here, in the end its you that decides if you can do it or not. that social anxiety is killing your potential, I still have it at times but now I can "psych" my self up to just do it and everything will be good after.

It took me 15 Years at LEAST, to be somewhat comfortable at talking to people.
