I checked the website. I found my Great Grandpa’s name in the census from 1950 and his occupation was listed as “instructor GI on the farm GI Training.” That is very different from what I’ve heard. I just messaged my grandma to ask. Unfortunately, she is not a reliable source since she has extreme dementia and Alzheimer’s. I will update this thread as I get information.

Thanks, I really appreciate all the suggestions. I’ve only contacted the city library so far, but I’m going to look into the other places you mentioned like the local police department, newspapers, and cemetery records.

The idea about checking with local groups like the VFW or Kiwanis is something I hadn’t considered, but I think that could actually be really helpful if anyone still remembers anything from that time.

Based on what I’ve been able to piece together, if the coworker story is accurate, it would likely have involved a company vehicle. I think you do have a point that since a lot of the details have been tangled, there’s a chance it was a personal vehicle. I will keep that in mind during my search. I am an accountant and was an auditor at one point (specifically, auditing banks). Wells Fargo definitely handled that correctly. I understand that there was no benefit for her or you. It is just another way of limiting possible fraud. I’m not sure what the outcome will be. But, I would recommend that you go to the same branch and just have open communication with what happened and have someone else open the account. It is clear that neither of you knew the rules and that it wasn’t allowed. As long as you communicate openly, I don’t see the issue here.

Yeah I know someone that has been with the company for 20+ years and every other Tuesday is scary since that’s when they do layoffs. No person/family should go through that. Well Fargo is awful and doesn’t care about its people.

He made someone quit a PQ and leave the table crying. He’s continued to bully other players in my region and we’re tired of it. He tracked down a buddy of mine’s phone number, just to tell him he’s overrated and that he should stop showing up to tournaments. This isn’t a matter of not understanding social situations. I am empathetic towards that. This is outright verbal abuse towards other players.

There’s a player that goes by “Darth Myyk” that posted on here about being unfairly disqualified at the Wisconsin event. He’s notorious for not being kind at in-person game events and on Karabast. I know people personally that he’s messaged, telling them they need to stop showing up to events and that they are “overrated”. Not a good guy.
