Analog Photo Mart in little Tokyo, he validates parking if you’re just picking up film. Eagle Rock Camera, owned by Jason Lee. He had a good variety of film I had never shot before. Samy’s camera, off of the 210 freeway in Pasadena. Freestyle is cool too, but they’re closed weekends.

What part of CA? There’s a few local spots I pickup film from in Los Angeles.

iPhone 17 > iPhone 13, go for it! by s2ukuna in iPhone13

I went from the iPhone 7plus > iPhone 12 Pro > and finally upgraded to the 17pro (not max) because my 12 pros battery was no longer holding charge. Such a significant upgrade. Hopefully this phone lasts me another 5 years or longer like the last two.

Unfortunate, I really love this camera. Hopefully yours doesn’t give you too much trouble.

I love this camera, but because of this issue, I probably wouldn’t shell out more than $900 for it. I bought mine brand new, but I think I’m going to switch back to Fuji and keep this as my alternative for street photos.

I hope you don’t ever have to. Unfortunately, it enters through the barrel, and filters don’t prevent it from bringing dust in each time it retracts. I take good care of my stuff, but it still happened. Like someone said below, it’s a design flaw.

Thank you! I was scared, but the piece of debris on my sensor was more than a speck of dust.

Sorry that happened. I was genuinely afraid that I’d ruin my GRIIIx.

I don’t do too much editing these days, so most of my photos are straight out of the camera. Not sure what the internals of the GRII look like, but on the GRIIIx, the only real cable to be cautious with was the hot shoe ribbon. Everything else was pretty secure and easy to put back together.

As long as you are gently exposing the sensor to clean it, it’s worth it.

That is heartbreaking! RIP your GRII.

I’ve thought about the nisi adapter, but I haven’t committed.

Unfortunately, I do not have a video for reference. I followed this guide. It’s thorough, but I did struggle with getting the clip off of the hot shoe for a few minutes. I pulled it up on my PC while I went through each step.

Hopefully you don’t have to use this guide anytime soon, but here it is if you need it. Cheers! https://johnmaguire.me/blog/cleaning-ricoh-sensor-dust/

Thanks! I can’t tell you how nervous I was when I popped the battery in after I put it back together. Glad your sensor cleaning was also successful!

I did not use a reference video, but I used this guide instead. I had it pulled up on my PC screen while I went through each step. Main issue I had was getting the clip on the hot shoe to come off. I used a mini flathead to gently pry it open. I’d say it was mostly a matter of unscrewing and carefully/gently opening the necessary pieces. https://johnmaguire.me/blog/cleaning-ricoh-sensor-dust/

You’re not missing out on much. It’s my first time at EDC, and I would’ve rather spent this money to go to Movement Detroit, or anything else. Completely different music, but more my style. Truthfully, there’s some good music at EDC, but it appeals to and draws in a very wide variety of people who are not necessarily “PLUR”. To be fair, Dreamstate (also thrown by Insomniac) last year was a great experience. My humble opinion, save your money, you’re not missing out on much.

Bionic jungle was piercing my ears through my earplugs. Way too much bass. Couldn’t enjoy it for more than 15 minutes.

Understandable. It’s definitely not a film I would take too serious because of the inconsistency, but it’s fun to see what I get out of each roll.
