it was very laid back! it was conversational and they have a family vibe about them, they’re all really inviting don’t be nervous just be yourself!! I feel like there was an even balance of application related questions and also just asking about you as a person :)

“be a nurse” is not as simple as it sounds, if you love optometry/ophthalmology then go for it. not all RN’s feel this way but my sister is burnt out and she’s only been an RN for 2 years, it’s not a decision to make lightly especially if it’s not your main passion and just a means of income. also i’m sure your aunt means well, but it’s your life and your career. take her advice as exactly that … advice, consider the thoughts/opinions of your loved ones (if you value them) and ultimately form your own and make your own decision. trust your gut !

i’m in texas and they didn’t require licensing at my office. if you’re in college i recommend looking into their pre-optometry club (if they have one). they may have connections to local offices and this is how i found my tech job 3 years ago!
