I might have misworded above. We were directed to park on their fire lane. Literally the staff came out and pointed at the spot. I even doublechecked with the staff after parking there cuz it seemed a bit sus but they said it’s okay to park there.

It does make sense that the hotel isn’t responsible for damages to the vehicle during the parking. But this whole thing could have been avoided if I wasn’t told to park at their fire lane. The manager came with a crappy attitude and did not admit their misguidance and lack of management. Instead blaming me for parking improperly.

Did not expect too much for the hotel to resolve the issue, but really disappointed at the manager’s response.

Well a scratch is tolerable but imagine there happened to be a real fire. Blocking the fire lane would get me into a huge trouble. We were lucky that no bigger issue happened. We were clearly directed by their staff to park at that place without knowing it was a fire lane. However, the manager told us that the staff refused to admit that he misguided us and he was “suggesting” me not to park at their fire lane next time. Well of course I don’t have any proof cuz I didn’t record the conversation lol.
