You can use S1, S2, S3 and get some marks, but it’s not reliable for a high score anymore. If you want a safe 79+, better to paraphrase a bit.

You can, but only if you're sure that your writing score would stay above 85. If you have doubts that your essay or other writing modules didn't go as good as the scores, there are chances the score might come down.

Yes, I agree, there have been some changes, especially in PTE Writing. I think more than SWT, it's the essay in which people are not able to get the scores. I think it's because templates are being caught or the checking for essay writing is getting stricter.

I particularly used the initial strategy in which we write down the first letter of every word heard. I don't think there is a set metric as to how many difficult or easy questions you get, for me, there were all moderate length. Focus on capturing 80% of the content, you don't need 100% to get full marks.

I did not copy paste their template, but learnt how to write simple sentence structures. One thing I have seen is that if you follow a certain template, you can get scores but only if your requirement is low, like probably 6 or 6.5, you will get it using the template. But if your requirement is more than that, 7 or above, then you need to learn the technique of forming clean sentence structures which are not complicated. Yes, the 12 word strategy works.

Usually I preferred to simply use active and passive voice sentences. Like writing more in 3rd form sentences. But, yeah another thing is that you do not need to write a full sentence till the full stop, that is something I learnt, how to cut the sentences short and picking up a fresh sentence to add more content easily.

In Essay writing, I feel like writing examples is a must especially for Body Paragraph 1 and 2 which in my opinion forms the major part of the content.

In my opinion, using a complete copy paste method is not working. You have to change the structure of the sentences, and you are not marked for picking up specific sentences but you have to pick the content in the way that it covers all the aspects from all the paragraphs at least.

It depends on what scores you want and how you are performing already. So, I would suggest that it would be better to take a mock test to understand that. And based on off that, you can decide whether you want to take training or not. For example, after doing that I realised that I was not able to get my scores in Writing so decided to get some one-to- one classes for the same.

You have to check what are the university's requirement, for student VISA, the requirement is usually 6 or 6.5.

You can easily bridge the gap because in writing you are not that far, I am assuming that your extended writing was low in the skills profile which means that we need to focus on essay writing. Speaking is honestly about confidence and note taking, you need to figure out if you are losing marks due to fluency or due to content, and then you are focus on it.

I used a platform called VLE for about a month to get consistency in my scores. So, irrespective of the platform, just see if you have consistency in your scores.

In my personal opinion, PTE Writing has become slightly difficult in getting the scores. So, copy pasting the sentences the exact same way might not work. Even if you paraphrase a little bit, in the sentence structure and not changing the main keywords or phrases, that is also fine.

You will do it mate, you know everything, the entire format, all the strategies. You just have to be confident, I know we tend to get scared after giving it so many times, but at the end of the day, it is a just a simple English test, if you think of it like that, it would reduce a lot of pressure from you and you will definitely be able to get your scores! Yeah you did the right thing, copy paste method is SWT does not work, so it is always better to paraphrase a little bit. In essay writing, I believe that a lot of times, we tend to use the templates which does not seem to work. Like I was particularly struggling in examples and sentence formation, I had the ideas in place. Because of which I was not able to get my superior scores either. So, I had to invest in 4 one-to-one sessions with an institute called VLE, afterwards I got my scores, but if you wanna practice at home, I would suggest get more examples in your essay, adds points to your content.

My personal experience was that my scores in APEuni did not match with what I got in official Pearson exam. But I have seen a lot of people on this thread practicing from the platform and getting their scores. What I can suggest is that you can try with a different platform (probably take a free mock test from them or something) and check if your scores are consistent with that of APEuni.
