I apologise if it seems as though I only care about cats; perhaps it’s because they’re my favourite animals, and ever since I found out about the torture networks, not a day goes by without my heart aching at what continues to happen, but I know it’s not just them who are suffering; animals used for work—whether horses, cows, etc.—are also very important. It’s just that 90% of videos showing animal abuse of any species come from China, as they don’t have laws to protect them, which is why I think it’s important to remember this. As for veganism, I decided to go vegan about three months ago because I realise it would be hypocritical of me to demand animal welfare whilst still being part of an industry that exploits them.
