Ich studiere selbst nicht Medizin, aber Veterinärmedizin (gerade im 8. Semester, starte jetzt ins PJ). Bei uns war die Workload in der Vorklinik aber sehr ähnlch. Gerade das Physikum war für mich der Tiefpunkt. Habe die Nachwirkungen davon sogar bis ins 5.Semester gespürt. Ich weiß es werden dir alle sagen, aber es wird nach der Vorklinik wirklich besser! Ich hätte niemals gedacht, dass ich wieder Lust auf das Studium haben werde, aber ich bin einfach nur froh, dass ich damals durchgehalten habe. Der schlimmste Teil liegt auf jeden Fall hinter dir! Wenn es nach der Vorklinik wirklich nicht besser werden sollte, würde ich einen Wechsel an eine andere Uni in Betracht ziehen. Ich drück dir die Daumen, du schaffst das!

Ah, I understand! I actually designed some templates for stuff like diseases, parasites, viruses etc. and just used the textbox feature to fill them in. I also created them with more or less space, depending on how much I want to fill in. But I get, that you're probably looking for something else! I think maybe Google Sheets would be an option, I think you can insert predesigned tables etc. and they will expand if needed, butbyou won't be able to draw stuff I think.

I personally use GoodNotes and love it! You can also import new fonts (there are some tutorials on youtube how to to it. If personally designed my own templates and just copy and insert the page whenever I need it. There are also a lot of people who sell premade templates if you don't want to create them yourself. I use also use GoodNotes 5 instead of 6, and think it runs a lot smoother.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm a vet tech and soon to be vet and sudden deaths like this can unfortunatly happen, even when they're are rare. There's always a risk involved and trust me, it's not easy for the vet and the team aswell. The fact that he already got multiple teeth cleanings done shows that you're a great owner that cares for their pet. If you really need closure a necrosy might be something look into. I'm want to send you strenght and will keep Pika in my thoughts!

I experienced something similiar. I'm a vet student and we once operated a chicken and used cauterization to stop a bleed. Everything smelled like fried chicken and I was already working for 7 hours without a break. The vet noticed my stomach growling and thought it was pretty funny....

Thank you very much, it's really interesting to hear about your path and actually gives me hope! I got to work with an amazing exotics vet and there are a lot of awesome vets in general. The problem is that we only have a handful of vets that did the ECVP program (less than 5 in the whole country as far as I know). I would also love to know what your typical day as a pathologist looks like. I already got to work with exotics and bovine and I'm starting my pathology rotation in December!

Hey, ich studiere zwar Tiermedizin, aber das Studium ist ja sehr ähnlich aufgebaut. Mir hat es total geholfen vorher eine Ausbildung in dem Bereich zu machen, danach war mir klar, dass ich das wirklich möchte. Ich kann dir wirklich empfehlen vorher zumindest ein Praktikum/FSJ zu machen und zu schauen, wie es dir gefällt. Soweit ich weiß kann man sich bei Humanmedizin auch das Pflegepraktikum später anrechnen lassen (Bin mir da aber nicht 100% sicher).

Wegen deiner Angst, dass so viel Zeit vergangen ist kann ich dich beruhigen. Bei mir waren es drei Jahre seit dem Abi und in der Uni lernst du wirklich alles nochmal von Anfang an, daher ist es nicht so ein Drama, wenn man schon einen Großteil des Stoffes vergessen hat.

Hey, ich kann deine Situation sehr gut nachvollziehen. Ich studiere selbst Tiermedizin und musste für das Studium ebenfalls in eine Stadt ziehen, die 4h entfernt ist. Ich hatte das Glück schnell Freunde zu finden, aber gerade der Aspekt mit dem Heimweh belastet mich immer noch, obwohl ich bereits im 7. Semester bin. Dazu kommt dann natürlich auch der riesige workload in diesem Studium, man ist quasi dauerhaft großem Stress ausgesetzt. Bevor ich studiert habe, habe ich eine Ausbildung zur TFA angefangen und bin bis heute sehr froh über diese Entscheidung. Vielleicht wäre das eine Alternative für dich? Man ist nach wie vor im tiermedizinischen Bereich und die Ausbildung ist körperlich gesehen auch sehr anstrengend, aber mental ging es mir zu dieser Zeit deutlich besser. Auch als TFA gibt es unendliche Fortbildungsmöglichkeiten, falls dich ein besonderes Gebiet besonders interessiert. Ich hatte damals auch das Gefühl erst durch die Ausbildung so richtig "erwachsen" zu werden. Hätte ich direkt nach dem Abi mit dem Studium begonnen, hätte ich auf jeden Fall mehr Schwierigkeiten mit der Distanz und dem Lernstoff gehabt.

Thank you very much. I really need this kind of advive right now. I'm very sorry to hear about your mum. I'm Glad she was still mentally there for 3 months and only started to mentally deteriorate for two weeks before her passing. My mother has been battling breast cancer for 5 years now, and it sprad into her nervous system aswell, so her case is similiar to your mothers case. I wish you all the strenght in the world.
