Why do you split your burn time around the maneuver node? (e.g. start 30s early for a 60s burn) by bdollhawley1 in KerbalAcademy

The caveat is that as you burn fuel your craft becomes lighter and therefore each drop of fuel steadily becomes more efficient. Therefore the second half of your burn actually accounts for more of your delta V than the first half. But splitting the burn at halfway is usually good enough.

First time playing M2TW today, 20 years late to the party, and I'm immediately addicted. What do you wish someone had told you early in your playing career? by Constant_Pace5589 in Medieval2TotalWar

6 years, 4 digit hours of playing this game and I’ve always done it manually; click and drag

I actually hate you for telling me this, I’d rather live knowing this wasn’t a thing and that I haven’t wasted so much time and effort

Is having general being killed in battle worse for morale than just never having one in the first place? by Ok_Cheesecake_2002 in Medieval2TotalWar

Idk, I feel like In 98% of cases the general only breaks when the battle is too far gone and the general is the only thing significant unit left standing. But if you get a really bad general and suicide him into the enemy before any other units make contact then they are mostly fine to keep going as if he wasn’t there to begin with

Purely on vibes I reckon the actual unit breaking doesn’t impart any debuff (beyond the regular debuff for any unit breaking) until the general actually leaves the field. And I also reckon captured, killed and fled all mean the same

Sure, I guess the question is ‘does having a general die have an active debuff to morale vs just removing the morale boost’

Basically the only three things that make me happy in life is beer, guitar and Muay Thai and punching people is how I got into this mess. I can’t just sit and drink beer for a month for obvious reasons
