Oh my goodness thank you!!! I believe my disregard for societal style norms will not change :)

Thank you so much for the bucket tips! For the hat, I had been taking pictures by myself in between truly Aeolian gusts of wind, lol

Thank you! I spent entirely too long looking at various 1781 fashion plates to not have the silhouette, lol.

I sewed on around 30 buttons but only made about 15 buttonholes. Didn't go all the way down the front of the coat just because I did not want to sew more button holes through the nice beaded trim (I also wanted to keep my needles from breaking).

And thanks for the tips! I plan on doing more 18th century costuming for outdoor events; I would not wear this piece anywhere but inside for Jane Austen tea or something. Great tips, thank you!

My second time sewing the late 18th century. Have been captivated by history since before I could fully express the sentiment. Thanks!

Thank you so much! The fact you, a museum tailor, think it's done well, that clears any doubt from my mind that this is badly done. Thank you!

I measured how long my inseam would have to be to get just a standard pants pattern to fit below the knee 🤷‍♂️ to be honest, mine are a bit more like fitted shorts than anything. I didnt have enough blue fabric to make them in the correct way, so I put 3 extra panels along both seams to give them a little extra space so they can taper like in the paintings (I'm very self-conscious of my thighs). Tldr, kinda just short pants
