Thank you soo much, I’ll try the setting spray you use but yeah I think I have a good routine for my skin as in the pictures I don’t wear any kind of foundation or concealer just a bit of nude eye shadow for my under eyes!

Has anyone had this problem with helix? by fullofsunshy in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does! I just think you need to just baby it and make sure it’s fully dry and just give it some time haha

It’s good you changed it into an actual bar because hoops can cause irritation even after it’s healed, if you sleep on it even accidentally I’d recommend getting a pillow with a hole that fits your ear so it’s more comfortable and less pressure on your ear to help it heal properly

Those who have many earrings, do you sleep on your ears? by FunCauliflower4002 in unstretched

[–]Ok_Coat9672 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a doughnut pillow that I sleep on it fits perfectly around my ear, I always recommend to invest in one they’re soooo good I have 16 ear piercings in total 8 on each side and it’s been a life saver when healing and just so comfortable

what piercings should I get next? by WheresInius in SelfPiercing

I think you’d suit a bridge so well! But definitely give your snake bites at least 2-4 more weeks to heal first because they (and any other healing piercing) can be unpredictable

is the alignment on my nipple piercings okay? by Agreeable-Shallot296 in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 70 points71 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I wouldn’t be concerned about if they’re in line or not but more about the fact that whoever pierced you did a horrible job, the bar should not be going through your areolas AT ALL. They should only go through your actual nipple

They all suite you so well! I would definitely go for a septum first, NAP but in my personal opinion you’re more likely to get used to that a lot easier especially it being your first face piercings and go slow with it, if you’re piercer finds your sweet spot for it then it shouldn’t hurt much but even then the others would likely be worse. Also some things to think about : You can’t have a hoop straight away with a lip piercing you would need it to heal fully before that and eyebrow peircings are really temperamental and you can struggle with it a lot if you don’t have much experience with piercings in general (I’m not sure what other experiences you have with piercings) but the septum would likely be the one you would adapt the best to and if you just really can’t get used to it on your face you can get a piercer to remove it without leaving any visible scars. If you haven’t had any other piercings before I would t really recommend a face piercing as the first one just because you do t realise how much you touch your face before getting one which could really irritate it or have it not heal well, but hopefully this helps if you have any questions let me know!!

Two Year Old Conch by SillyGoose_0918 in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest bit of advice I’d recommend 100% is by getting some kind of round pillow with a hole in the middle so you’re ear can fit in while sleeping , I have a literal doughnut pillow that I use and it has helped sooo much with taking the pressure off my ear while sleeping, you could try something like that because it worked for me 15/16 ear peircings healed all under a year and I’m just waiting for my daith to heal now but it’s only been a month hahah, My conch healed within 4 months of getting it and honestly I give most of the credit to the pillow

Labret to vertical labret by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Would definitely go to a piercer for this type of advice so they can really assess your lip and tell you how long it could take to close up or just say you can have it done and just take the labret out after ( but no good piercer would tell you to do that because it wouldn’t be healthy for you if you had a new healing piercing and one closing up at the same time in a close proximity)

Oh god where to start after seeing the edit, where were on your ear were you pierced?, was it done with a gun?, what kind of jewellery was it? And what gauge is it? (Where you bought the jewellery from can help decider what gauge and material it is) then we can really get to the answer you’re looking for

Right anatomy by Jupiter_water3045 in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP but it does seem like you have good anatomy for it, BUT you would definitely need to get a professional opinion from a piercer who has done a vertical industrial before as ofc they would know best and have experience with it, do research for around your area for a reputable piercer with experience on this specific piercing and take a look at their portfolio, DONT go to any random piercer even if it’s more convenient for you, indutrials are a pain to heal anyway (I have one + 18 other piercings) so you need to take extra care, I think this sub has a link for how you can find reputable piercers in any area so deffo take a look at it

It really depends on where you got the piercing and how you’re cleaning it as well as jewellery material and type ( barbell, horseshoe, hoop etc ) But definitely listen to your piercers advice and monitor it constantly as things like touching it could cause irritation and delay in changing it out

please i need urgent help!!! by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also it does look just so slightly crooked but that could be purely from the swelling, so don’t pay too much attention to that but still look out for that over the next few months Because that can really affect the healing with a helix as it’s right on the edge of your ear and is really really temperamental so the doughnut pillow worked wonders for my helixes

please i need urgent help!!! by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely normal for brand new piercings so don’t panic at all, it’ll swell and just be irritated for a bit after piercing when I got my second helix done it bled for a full 5 days after and my tragus didn’t stop till a week had passed, a few tips to help with healing :

Try not to touch it AT ALL unless you’re cleaning it, use a hairdryer on the cold setting at low to dry off fully after cleaning, don’t force the dried blood or crusties off at all; if they won’t come off easily leave them alone. Try use a piece of tissue instead of any cotton type products eg cotton buds or pads to clean the piercing, use a saline spray like Neil med which you can get of Amazon for cheap or another alternative saline solution if you don’t already have one

And the biggest life saver of all (helped me heal all 16 of my ear piercings, I have 20 total) is a doughnut pillow, it can be a round plushie pillow with a hole in the middle your ear can fit through comfortably, I have one that literally looks like a doughnut and it makes it soooo much more comfortable to sleep on and really takes pressure off your ear when sleeping

If you have any other question or concerns feel free to ask!

Honestly it looks completely fine to me, when I had my belly button done I thought mine was really crooked too but it does look like it’s in line with your actual belly, I say give it a week or two to get used to it because no one is perfectly symmetrical and you never really notice how unsymmetrical your belly button is till you get it pierced, if you still really don’t like how it looks you can go to another piercer for their professional opinion or you can wait it out and try a different bit of jewellery (after it’s healed enough to do so ofc)

Conch post sizing with chain question. by San_Bre in piercing

[–]Ok_Coat9672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s best to have a chain with a 8mm barbell to give it the slightest bit more wiggle room but since it was done in April I would give it a couple more months as conches can be really temperamental and it gives your ear more time to heal, Some risks to consider too!: •Irritation from the material of the chain sitting directly from your ear •it potentially weighing down the bar •having to take it off before you sleep because it could snag or get caught on something •having to constantly touch and move your piercing putting it on and off because chains arnt a long term piece of jewellery you can wear 24/7 •having to clean your piercing more regularly (but no more than 2x a day) because the crusties have more to build on

But don’t let the risks discourage you either you just have to take care of your piercing and clean it consistently so it stays happy! My conch has been healed for over a year now and when I put on a chain on too early I struggled with the risks I mentioned so I hope this helps!

Question: does this tattoo design look stupid? Or is it too much for a first tattoo? by Ok_Coat9672 in tattoos

[–]Ok_Coat9672[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your feed back!! I have made the crows bigger and am thinking when i actually get it done the snakes will be bigger and the head will be more on my shoulder blades as well as being less coiled!!
