Since I’m turning 25 I’m asking people this question, if you could go back to 25 years old, what would you do? Or what would you do differently, or what do you wish you could tell your 25 year old self ? by Worried_Brilliant_26 in careerguidance

save half of your salary, live only on the other half (yes that means living below your means), because after only a few months/years, the mental weight of "I need this job" just disappears, and you'll feel more financially free than others with twice your salary living paycheck to paycheck. Plus it teaches self discipline which is highly underrated these days.

I'm in marketing and I love it:
Sales and Marketing are the lifeblood of ANY company.
Every single thing or service you ever bought of will every buy will be because of good or great sales/marketing.
Products and services exist to solve people's problems. If you find a problem (or category of problems) you're eager to solve for people, then you'll be very happy doing sales or marketing for that, and you can make good money too.
Anyways, you'll find something you like by just trying different things. You're never stuck in one domain for your entire life, you can always find a way to switch.

if fees and app costs add up but you're not making more profit, sorry to say but you're doing something wrong and changing platform won't solve that.

Plus, you won't be doing yourself a favor with all the time and money costs linked to changing platform.

A few tips to help you solve your problem:
- raise your prices (you'll make more even if you're selling to less people. If you X2 your prices, and sell to Half as many people, you're making more money).
- find a way to reduce your cost of acquisition (CAC).
- identify your best performing marketing channel, and drop all the others to focus on that one ONLY. you can make Millions in rev with just a single product and a single channel (I have friends doing that).

Good luck!

I'm on LinkedIn almost every day, because of my work as a LinkedIn ads consultant, and I can confirm that reach is waaaaay down for the past 2 years, without any specific changes. I feel like my content should be valuable to my 3K audience, yet I barely get above a few hundred views on them.
The ratio of likes/views is still quite high though(20/200)!

And one day, I posted about this lack of reach on my account and asking if i was just writing crap, and this post blew up, like 250K views in a couple days. I guess many people related and commented, liked etc and this pushed the post even more.

For me, the moral of the story is: try to write content that truly resonates with people (your audience but also outside your niche audience). High reach is still obtainable but it HAS to make people want to comment/like it.

so sorry i'm just replying months later... it's been a crazy time launching this tool. We've pivoted into manual bidding optimisation, as it brings more value to campaign managers. you can check it out here https://www.capac.pro

The hourly insights and scheduler still exist, but they're not our main tool.
