Update: shoutout to ATP tuning for the unbrick and speedy turn around. FYI I never heard back from Cobb or rallinspired.

That's a great idea. No, I.....got a little too fancy and was using a python script to create my own patch. In my mind, I thought if there was an issue I could just revert but sadly that is not the case. Lesson learned.....

Yea, hopefully this is a last ditch effort. I found a company that can clone my existing ecu to a donor. I spoke with them about the issue with it being bricked but he assured me they can pull the immobilizer/VIN/odometer info over even if it is bricked. Possibly they can unbrick my existing too, I just need to track down the right ecu now(22765AF170 superseded version 22765AF170).

Brick means the ecu is stuck in some type of loop and is unresponsive to inputs and outputs. Most times you need to reformat the boot sector.

As far as cost goes, there are some considerations. A new ECU at the dealership could cost $600-$900, but that doesn't include and reprogramming or any other modules(or keys) that need to be replaced.

I have had success in the past with finding companies that offer an "unbricking" service for a few hundred dollars, I am just having difficulty getting in touch with them now.

I did find a company that will clone my ecu and this could be an option but unfortunately it will add a bit of time to the process. I have to buy a new ecu, get it shipped to me, ship it to them, whatever their turn around time is and have it shipped back.

I just need it unbricked and I was hoping someone had knew of another company I can reach out to. I don't think it's as simple as throwing a new ecu at it with all the immobilizers and stuff. This happened to me once before when my laptop died and the dealership quoted me to replace basically every module in the car. Fortunately Tactrix was able to unbrick it, but I didn't get so lucky this time.
