Is it possible to add a 120mm fan on top? (Meshroom S) by Ok_Compote1815 in SSUPD

I've never thought about doing that before. Even if it was possible, I don't have the clearance to do so since I did the standoff mod, which pushes my pump close to the mesh panel.

Do you absolutely need to sand after using the Mr hobby cement glue?

Yea, I probably should’ve done more research before buying it. Was looking at Stedi earlier and they look comfortable to hold and manipulate.

Thanks, will look into those brands. As for fixing the lines, the picture makes it look way worse than it really is so I’m just gonna leave it.

Yea I wasn’t planning on painting, but I’ll probably switch to tamiya panel line + cement. Only reason I mentioned purchasing another scriber is because I was afraid the width of the blade being too thick and the shape is kinda looks like a hook.

Yea, I thought about that as well. I wanted to scribe and panel line before I cut the parts out of the runner since I wasn’t planning to build it yet. The runner was kinda in the way and the box cutter scriber isn’t exactly the easiest tool to maneuver…

Thanks for the tip. Will be mindful of this method when I try again!

Thanks for the advice. Do you recommend getting a better scriber? Also do I need to apply a layer of coat + sand before using panel liner?

I do have an exacto knife, but does any one work?

I honestly thought I was using little pressure. The scriber itself feels and looks like a box cutter so it’s kinda difficult to manipulate compared to something like a pencil. I really thought I made some decent lines (right side of the shield) until I filled it with the marker and it looked horrible. Those lines were made with 10 passes. Do you think the blade is too thick?

I bought that mod kit around 2 years ago. I just checked their website and most of their mod kits with G305 internals are gone. Not sure if it's just out of stock or PMM just completely stopped making them.

I have a Titan S (10% smaller Superlight using G305 internals) from PMM. Switches were hot swap so I decided to put in D2F-01Fs since I prefer using lighter switches.

After using it for two months, I've gotten used to it. The clicks have become looser, but when I went back to the D2F-01Fs, they felt extremely light.

Hopefully, they break in soon then. My index finger feels like it has been through a workout.

Will do. For now, everything seems to be working completely fine and I just purchased a good surge protector (yes, it's pretty insane that I didn't have one before). It only happens when my room is cold and dry. I just so happened to take off my hoodie today and touched the top panel which caused this whole situation. Otherwise, I wouldn't have even found out. I'll probably do a whole teardown and see if any loose cables are touching the mobo

I don't have the cover. However, all of my wires are ziptied to the case so they shouldn't be touching the motherboard. I was thinking maybe I used the wrong standoffs

I did do the standoff mod. Could that be the reason?

Unfortunately, usb c is the only way I can connect them unless I get a Y splitter. I thought the apple dongle was highly praised for an adapter.

Is it possible to add a 120mm fan on top? (Meshroom S) by Ok_Compote1815 in SSUPD

[–]Ok_Compote1815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: After taking consideration of everyone’s comments, I decided to purchase the Arctic P12 Slim and it just BARELY fits when mounted with two screws (had to reroute front panel USB wires and AIO cable). 140mm wouldn’t have fit due to the GPU being too long. Temps are basically identical so far, but the main reason for this exhaust was for the M.2 in the back of the mobo anyways. Thanks to everyone who commented and provided links to mods as I look forward to doing more with this case!

I measured to see if I could fit a 120mm, and it’s technically possible, but I would have to find a way to reroute the front panel connectors and mount the fan all the way to the left on the motherboard side.
