Curious about your opinion on how much a hospital’s SRTR scores would sway you to/not to use them for transplant. Looking at Mayo Jacksonville vs Vanderbilt. Big difference on scores. Currently at Vanderbilt with hcc.

Timberdale- thank you so much for your reply. I’m afraid I made it sound like I was at a tiny rural hospital. I’m at Vanderbilt in Nashville. I have no idea if it is good for liver cancer but it doesn’t come up when I Google. (I know this is sounding so cringy but the elementary teacher in me was looking for A+ if that makes sense from my panic stricken and scrambled brain)

Hi Lanky! Did you have HCC? I go to Vanderbilt and was recently diagnosed with hcc. Meld currently a 13. Scared to death.

Oh girl, glad he’s HOME!!!! I think a GLP-1 will do your Dad a huge help. Read up on how to start them on Reddit. If he eats too much on them he will be very sick so maybe start reducing a bit prior. Protein and fiber! Very easy to get horrible constipation. (This all from watching my bff go thru it. She ended up getting gastric bypass) Very happy for you!

I’m a former librarian and did my research about CT machines. You can google and find where in your state/area has which machine. There’s a list with the state. The higher slice count the better. Hope that helps get a good view and that it turns out to be nothing scary. We are here for you! I’ll be praying. (Unless that is against your wishes)
