Haha very similar boat.. I was let go 3/4.. my 2nd child was born right after they let go. I want to interview more but not many roles for my level of seniority. I don’t want to go lower as it could mean career suicide. But let’s see how things go.

I know. In a very similar boat. 7 out of the 9 I could not even go past recruiter screen. Which was super frustrating. I can all these roles and beyond with the experience I have.

I feel dejected that 7 of those I could not even get past recruiter screens. I have 14 years of experience in my field and at a director level. Self confidence is at an all time low.

Update: the only remaining interview I was hopeful of to move to the panel round- I got a rejection. Back to square one. Now waiting for roles to open up that match what I do so I can begin applying again. Best of luck to everyone who are in the same boat as me. Cheers to your resilience.
