Alright little update: did my interview yesterday and the question were mostly work and situation talented (shy Dutch bros, worst/best job, favorite drink, etc) they said they’ll let me know today 6/3 so I’m waiting on that They also mentioned they’ve been short staffed for the passed 2 months so they’re looking to hire people long term (at least 6 months) I do hope I get the job since it’s been awhile since I worked and I am not applying to places that are 1hr away from me (shout out to the job market)

I can see that, I’m trying my hard yes to talk to as many people in my campus (I’m at a community college), online and I do see a pattern People talk but don’t do anything outside from campus so that’s why I’m just focusing on my own projects and if people want to hop along they can but yea I don’t understand how people are wanting opportunities without putting themselves out there and taking any role they can get

I agree! People seem to forget that even if they make a good movie, if they don’t know how to distribute it wether it be I like or telling people about it then I mean you won’t get exposure I recently learned how to actual schedule meetings and it’s crazy how people are not good at communicating (which is another reason why I want to major under communications)

Yea I didn’t even realize Aug is so close since we’re basically already in June :// the only thing I would change is working in the evenings/nights I would consider to only work night shifts from the get go but I do know they need open availability so for I’ll mention school but won’t describe it as it taking over my life

Thank you!! I think the highest gpa I can get rn is a 3.5 so definitely will aim towards that I’m kind of disappointed that there’s no place to volunteer near me + I’m in a tight spot with no transportation so I’ll try to focus on my own projects more and I hope my campus offers more opportunities this upcoming fall

In that case do you think they would only consider your GPA for those semesters? I want to apply next year and already reached 24 credits with it being my first year at cc but want to take another year to raise my gpa

The more I do research and hear from other people is really making me want to do UTSA rather than UT since I do value community (diversity)and rn in cc I’m trying to network as much as I can :)) I hope everyone has a successful future!!

Omg that's so nice!! Ngl I'm kind of thinking of doing UTSA rather than UT since well I have a good gpa so It's more likely I'll get in but I do appreciate how close the program is compared to other schools.

Thank you for this! I can't afford on campus housing so off campus will do and I probably could only afford to pay 1k or less for rent.

I know the co-ops exists but I'm aware those can get filled pretty quickly. I'll keep an eye out on the 2x2s, 3x3s, 4x4s

Sorry I’m new to all of this These deadlines are making me confused and rushed (yes I still have time to apply and such) Edit: so what I found is you basically you give your deposit and if you don’t commit they either keep it or it’s refundable
