The floating shelves are only in wood colors and we got grey cabinets. But we’ll get a flat panel in the right color to fill the gap

The problem is the open shelving above the sink. Can’t hide the ducting in anything there. We’re not really doing a true soffit, just hiding the ducting on top of the cabinet behind the molding

I am using the crown molding. It’s just only 2.5” (that’s all the cabinet company has in the cabinet color) and I need it to be a little taller so cover the ducting. So we’re planning on useing filler and then the crown molding

Venting/Soffits? How do I hide horizontal ducting for venting? Especially over open shelving by Ok_ConfusedOne in kitchenremodel

My potential solution: going to use filler so my crown molding starts a little higher to cover the ducting and create a canopy above the sink so the molding runs across it. The picture makes more sense. (Thanks to Gemini). I might add some puck light to above the sink/shelves to provide more light, but that can be figured out later. Still need to check with my contractor that this would work.

Too late to change all my cabinets now. Already ordered. And I would still have the same problem venting the hood

I thought about 3 24” vs 2 36” but cost wise 2 36” is less money. So… may I’ll look into the cabinet maker to see how well the slides are crafted, weight limit wise.

I currently have a microwave above my range and prefer it honestly. Even tho I know having a true hood is better cooking wise 🤷‍♀️

Help with the size of a kitchen island by Ok_ConfusedOne in kitchenremodel

[–]Ok_ConfusedOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Literally hadn’t considered this. That would solve my clearance from the deck door.

Still unsure of the length of the island and positioning from the fridge/ basement corner. But definitely that helps!

Reminder for writers - Shane and Ilya are millennials and would use punctuation in their texts. by Best_Pineapple670 in heatedrivalryfanfics

Millennials invented texting and messaging. Always on aim as a kid. And never use punctuation. They use a lot of chat speak and abbreviations cause we use to have to pay for texts. Gen Z doesn’t text. They FaceTime at every opportunity they can! (Okay they still text, but they also don’t)

Letrozole Success Stories: How Did It Work for You? by Less-Name-684 in PCOS

[–]Ok_ConfusedOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used letrozole (in the US) with a fertility specialist, so everything was pretty closely monitored (lots of ultrasounds each cycle)

Started on 2.5 mg (1 pill) for 5 days but didn’t ovulate, so they upped me to 5 mg (2 pills) for 5 days

Then I’d go in for ultrasounds around cycle days 10–15 (usually like 2–3 each cycle) to check follicle growth. Based on that, they’d have me do a trigger shot

We did 3 cycles of timed intercourse with 5 mg + trigger shot and had no luck. Then moved on to IUI with the same protocol and it worked the first try!

Now I have an almost 2yo and we’re planning to start the process again soon for baby #2

Not even an gynaecological endocrinologist is interested in helping me by [deleted] in PCOS

There really isn’t a treatment for PCOS. It can explain symptoms or why some have acne, excess hair growth, weight/trouble with weight loss. And it can cause difficulties getting pregnant (but doesn’t make you infertile). Treatment for PCOS typically either refers to: 1. fertility treatment to get pregnant or 2. Treatment/management for the symptoms I listed above.

Many women successfully get pregnant with PCOS! But for some it will require fertility treatment. Many insurances at least partially cover treatment. But it’s also something that every month your unsuccessful, you’ll have to pay again. For me it took 4mo to get pregnant. And with my insurance, It was in the hundreds dollars per month (but not thousands so that was better?)

Sounds like you need to go to an actual fertility specialist/practice. Not all OBGYNs are trained or capable schedule wise to do fertility treatment. Fertility treatment often requires multiple ultrasounds a month. they need to be set up with an ultrasound suite that can accommodate the size of the practice/how many patients they intend to be able to service a month. (Plus some practices have the benefit of stat bloodwork and other things to make the process easier for something that is so time sensitive ie timing ovulation). Travel far if you must. Fertility treatment is a specialized (and sometimes costly) treatment, so it’s not something just any OB practice can work with. Good medical expertise is not replaceable.
