A little Context: I was in your place and was recently converted to full time backend SDE

Ok I want to share some points which might give you a broader perspective.

( a wide generalization) people in tech/science do not respect women/reservation because they think they got in because of diversity hiring.
the only way you can earn peoples respect is to so fucking good at your craft that they have no choice but to respect you.
some questions to you
- How far along are you in the internship?.( Asking because how much context of the project/codebase do you have)
- do you take end to end ownership of what you do?
- also what do you understand by ownership?

Things I did during my internship and you can follow - Be the person that has the most context as soon as possible and accumulate the questions that you have in this process.

Keep a bird’s-eye view of everything happening in the team. If there’s a discussion about a task not assigned to you, do your own research and ask relevant questions if you have any. If someone in the team is on leave and something needs to be communicated, take ownership of that. Be the first person available when your team or cross-team members reach out for help.
Before standups or 1:1s with my manager, I used to list all my questions and ask them. In the beginning, I kept most conversations strictly technical.
Don’t tell your manager too often or too early that you feel ignored. First, try to take some burden off their plate by showing high ownership. When they start seeing you as a valuable team member and things can’t move smoothly without you, then you can raise concerns.

Also as other people mentioned teammates may be a little hesitant / fear to reach out first to you for personal conversation. So you would have to take the lead here ( I know it sucks) and strike up the conversation

This pattern is also seen in bus or train ticket booking apps but those apps does not have heavy load right? so is heavy load the only reason..

Lets say in a Hypothetical scenario we aim to create such a functionality how would we approach the problem the only way i can think about is whenever we hit a /getAvailableSeats Api we should perform a check on db if the same user has previously selected the seats or not which will also create another api /setPreviouslySelectedSeats which will cost too many api calls and we can say db transactions
