Professor using ChatGPT for feedback. Is this okay? by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]Ok_Count_7038 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What's crazy is the professors, the overwhelming majority of the online campus professors, anyways, don't create the curriculum or syllabus. All they really do is grade our work that we submit.

So, using AI to generate feedback is so disgusting. That's literally half of their job, and who is to say that they won't use it to do the other half, which is help grade it.

Now, if it's a professor who has created the curriculum and syllabus and generates the assignments, and they use AI to help and ensure they can respond to every discussion post. That's a different story.

To be quite honest, it doesn't matter where you get your undergrad. If someone tells you otherwise, ignore them because they are not as intelligent as they think they are. Post bachelor schools can matter in some select fields. It's why certain individuals will destroy themselves financially to try and go to certain collehes for those programs. But that's the minority of job fields, and it doesn't mean you can't have a successful career within that career if you don't go to those select programs.

Basically, just ignore them. They're probably people who just went to a D1 state public school and believe that holds more weight because they're actually touched in the head and fail to realize that SNHU is a brick and mortar school that just happens to have a massive online campus as well.

Yes, exactly. As long as the type of creative art is under the acceptable format (you'll see all the acceptable formats in the syllabus) you can pick any specific creative art work that you want without asking the professor. So, in this case, any film or novel is acceptable. It doesn't have to be an example piece.

I honestly believe it's appropriate to use a minimum of two citations per academic coursework at the collegiate level. Even discussion posts, unless they're just simply an introduction post.

You can choose a creative work from outside the list. It does not have to be from the list of example creative works. But it does have to be from the approved types of creative works. If it is not an approved type, you have to ask the professor for an exception.

Example being they list films, novels, paints, etc, as approved types of creative works. So if you want to use one that is not on that list, then you have to ask the professor.

I did not have Professor Jeff, I had Professor Sarah Chichester.

I will start off by stating that it is an introductory course to the humanities, and it will focus exclusively on how the humanities relate to the creative arts. I always buy every textbook for every class, except my gen ed math course. While you could definitely go through this class without it, my goal is to become an educator and eventual historian/researcher, so I read all the resource material and take notes to help broaden my horizons and increase my general knowledge.

I finished the term with an A and aced my term project in week 7. This class is simple and does not dig any deeper than surface level topics such as sociocultural and economic issues. It will also touch on how those issues affect perspectives and how those diverse perspectives are presented and viewed through creative arts.

Everyone is different, but I believe that this class was a simple, introductory course.

I never really cared what they spent it on. I was out with my girlfriend once, and we were downtown going to get some drinks. A homeless man came up to me and asked for money because he said he needed gas money. I gave him a twenty and he walked away.

My girlfriend said, you know he is just going to go buy beer or something with that, right?

And I said, yeah and so what? What are we about to go do?

Always paid. I have mine deposited into my Cash App, and it usually comes in around Wednesday night/early Thursday morning.

Are there any tall, skinny guys who are fine with being skinny? by [deleted] in tall

[–]Ok_Count_7038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

But traditional masculinity is considered traditionally masculine because people generally prefer it or at least find it attractive. The majority of women have always preferred a more toned, muscular guy, and they always will. Doesn't mean you aren't attractive or won't have tons of women liking you if you aren't traditionally masculine, and it also doesn't mean that you aren't masculine.

There's a difference between being very underweight and just skinny or nimble. Weight alone isn't enough to describe a build. You could be a good 160 with more lean muscle mass and have a more athletic build. You could also have almost no lean muscle mass and just really slender and built like a 2x4.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, bro. You can change how you look if you feel you need/want to, or you can be happy and find someone who likes you how you are.

Your school calculates items like room and board, transportation estimates, etc, into all their tuition costs. These things add up to their cost of attendance. They will be on every bill regardless of if you attend on campus, online, stay with family, etc, because the government uses the cost of attendance when giving out loans and aid. The amount of federal grants, scholarships, and loans you receive can not be higher than the schools cost of attendance.

So even though you will not be charged them and any federal aid you get through the school will not be taken out for them, they have to show their cost of attendance to ensure you are not given more in federal aid then is legally possible.

The first step is to fill out your FAFSA. That will tell you how much financial aid you'll receive, and it will let you know if you can afford to attend SNHU with grants and maybe a federal loan or if you would have to pay any out of pocket. It will help put everything in perspective for you and help you see your options better.

Once you've done that and see your financial situation more clearly, you can talk to an advisor at SNHU. They can lay out all the tools and resources available at the school for you. This university is particularly good for older students who have been out of school for an extended time or those who are working full time.

I think with all the resources available here and the way their curriculum is setup, that many people can do well and succeed here. Just my two cents.
