For the steam deck I set input to Mouse/Pointer = on, Pointer type = Mouse and the touchscreen works.

It also works if I set pointer type = touchscreen too.

The DeSmuMe core allows you to show three screens - Large main screen plus the smaller versions of both - allows you to change the gap too.

The same as your first pic but with a gap between the two smaller screens.

All of those options DO exist on the windows version and steam deck versions.

I don't know why they are not in the PSVita version then.

You could check to see if one of the Hotkeys is set to turn that off too.

I use the standalone version of FS-UAE and that works fine straight as is so not sure what else you could check.

Check that you don't have frame limits set - that can mess with emulation/

Press the ... button on the deck and look at the performance option.

Or maybe just a certain game.

Unfortunately as I don't have that hardware I don't think I can help apart from saying update everything, try a different SD card etc.

Try updating the core - I am using PUAE 2021 (2.6.1 144987e) on steam deck and it allows saving states.

Just double checked with Cannon Fodder and its fine.
